Our tour of the ship

We started off the day in Eden where we had complimentary tea, coffee and pastries before our tour began. The room was beautifully decorated with large windows at the front where guests can sit and enjoy a cocktail or coffee and watch wherever they are being taken to next.

After initial introductions we were split up into our groups and started our tour of the ship. We got to see a range of different rooms including, inside, ocean view, balcony and a suite. All rooms were beautifully decorated and modernly equipped which included a control panel that allowed you to control things such as the heating of the room and lighting which again helps add to a guest’s cruise experience. Whilst walking around we got to take in the range of unique, stunning décor and were met with polite, smiling and courteous staff who were doing their upmost ready to welcome the next set of guests on board. Walking around the ship the small hidden touches allowed us to quickly realise what makes the Celebrity experience.  As we went round the ship, we were all in awe of the spectacular interior and the facilities that are available for guests.

The Retreat

We reached top deck of the ship where it allowed us to see for miles (we just had to imagine that we were in the tranquillity of the Caribbean instead of the town of Southampton). We got exclusive access to the retreat which is a private area for anyone that is booked in a suite. You get an even more personalised service where the retreat attendants bring you anything that you may need. It is a place that allows guests to feel even more special and even more at home. During our tour we got to see the famous magic carpet. This unique feature can move throughout different decks of the ship, and it overhangs out over the ship which allow guests to get a closer look at the destination they are in. This unique feature really helps the Celebrity brand stand out and in turn makes the experience for guests much more memorable.

Facilities on board 

Whilst walking around the ship we had the opportunity to have a look in numerous eateries where they were all grandly decorated. In the main eatery there was plenty on offer so guests on board are guaranteed to find something they like. One of the speciality restaurants which you can find on board is the ‘Le Petit Chef’ which is an immersive experience where your table becomes 3D and you watch the food be made In front of you before it is then bought out. The food is made and presented to a high quality which again reflects the brand standard.

On the tour we had the opportunity to look at the facilities the ship has to offer especially for the days when the ship is at sea. One of the areas we had the opportunity of looking at was the onboard spa. If guests want an area where they relax and switch off, then they’re on board spa is the place to go. They had everything from a sauna and steam room to heated loungers where you can lay and look out to sea.  Other facilities we had the opportunity of looking at were the on-board gym and the theatre which had the most eye capturing 4K LED screen that provides people with the perfect view from any seat.

Everywhere on the ship is open and spacious making it very inviting for guests when they are on board.  Even though the maximum capacity of the ship is nearly 3000 guests have plenty of options to seek tranquillity and relaxation.

After our tour of the ship, we had lunch in one of the main eateries on the ship where we were looked after from the moment, we sat down to the moment we left the restaurant. We had a beautiful three course, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive. After a lovely lunch and before we got off the ship, we had the opportunity to wonder around and explore anything further.  We got a close look at the Martini bar which you can find in the main atrium of the ship. It sits under the Grand Plazas stunning chandelier and with it being one of the main areas of the ship it creates a lovely ambience for guests where there is usually live piano music of bar tendering shows.
