This cruise has been designed to offer an insight into the fascinating yet turbulent history of the Mediterranean and Adriatic, a region shaped by different conflicts over the centuries. You can delve into the history of the Phoenicians at Carthage from La Goulette and explore Cartagena’s Roman sites, accompanied by a local archaeologist. Two calls to Croatia will present Diocletian’s Palace in Split and the Walls of Dubrovnik, which have protected the city for centuries. You can uncover many natural wonders too, from the cascading waterfalls of Croatia’s Krka National Park to Montenegro’s Lovćen National Park. Borealis will also cruise the fjord-like Bay of Kotor to reach the fortified town of Kotor.

*Free door to door transfer: This door-to-door transfer offer is up to a maximum of 250 UK mainland miles, for those guests on cruise S2412. Any additional mileage must be paid to the transport provider (CMAC) at the time of booking. Guests may be required to share the transport for all or part of the journey, when an appropriate vehicle will be provided. Once the complimentary transport has been confirmed by the provider, charges will apply if fail to take this arrangement without cancelling with the transport provider. The door-to-door service is one transfer (each way) per booking for all guests, from the lead guest address. Outbound and inbound mileage cannot be combined should you only require transfer one-way.
