Winding through Central Germany, the Main river connects the Rhine with the Danube. The Main-Danube canal, which stretches for a length of 106 miles between Bamberg to Regensburg has an impressive total of 16 locks making it possible to travel via river ship all the way from the North Sea to the Black Sea.

Very clean and comfortable considering this is not a cruise ship. Dinner was well presented though on set menus the choice was limited and quantities were not over generous. Excellent on buffet evenings and could do with more of these. Breakfast buffet very good.
