The Main-Danube canal, which stretches for a length of 106 miles between Bamberg to Regensburg has an impressive total of 16 locks making it possible to travel via river ship all the way from the North Sea to the Black Sea.

The MS Jane Austen is newly commissioned in 2015. She was in perfect condition and had every convenience available to the passengers. The entire crew from captain down made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The food was of an excellent standard at all meals with such a variety of dishes to choose from. What a great holiday.
