Bolt Ultimate Sea Coaster
Aboard Carnival Celebration® you’ll meet BOLT®: the fastest — and first! — rollercoaster at sea. Strap in and zoom your motorcycle-style speed machine around an open-air course high, high above sea level. You know how on most rollercoasters… actually, never mind. Forget other coasters because this all-electric thrill ride puts you in the driver’s seat. That means you actually get to control how fast you go, so hit the gas and try for the fastest time, go for the biggest thrill — plus some amazing 360° ocean views! And for the folks who choose to chill: go light on the pedal, and this just might be the coaster for you!
Family Feud Live
Family Feud™ has been delighting viewers at home for generations, but you’ve never had the chance to buzz-in on a cruise ship. At least not till you’ve experienced Family Feud™ Live, now on Carnival ships! We’re hosting games on an authentic Family Feud set, right down to the iconic Face-Off podium, plus all the excitement of Fast Money. Since we know how much entertainment the host can bring to the game, Family Feud Live is emceed by none other than your cruise director. So if you’re game, sign up your team of five for an audition. Don’t worry, we won’t judge you… but your fellow cruisers will, so make sure your team brings that Family Feud spirit to the audition! And, of course, everybody’s welcome to grab a seat in the audience to catch all the hilarious action!
Note: Family Feud™ Live is only available on 7+ day sailings.
Havana Bar
A spot that’s intriguing by night and friendly anytime, step into the Havana Bar™ and be transported to antebellum Cuba preserved today in old postcards, vintage literature… and classic delicacies. Take in great ocean views as you try something authentically Cuban, like café Cubano (that’s Cuban coffee!) or handcrafted Cuban cocktails (think daiquiris, mojitos and more). And this spot definitely doesn’t cool down when the sun goes down, with music and dancing keeping things hot well into the night.
RedFrog Tiki Bar
Let’s recap what we know about the mysterious RedFrog so far. He’s definitely cute, he knows how to chill… and flavor is everything to the little guy. But we only just found out about the years he spent soaking up the sun among the grass skirts and frangipani flowers of the South Pacific where, he would tell you, it’s easy being red. Some of his favorite recipes from those days form the core of the menu at the first-ever RedFrog® Tiki Bar — sip a Polynesian Punch, try a Jungle Bird, or get a little tongue-twisted ordering a Red’s Rum Jumper. This poolside bar actually spans two decks and, no matter where you’re sailing, can be counted on to transport you right to the land of Tiki.
WaterWorks
Wanna splish — and splash — the day away? Head on over to WaterWorks™, Carnival’s onboard waterpark. First up, there’s the Twister Waterslide™, hundreds of feet of spiraling awesomeness that starts you off high in the air and gets you down low with one of the fastest, wettest rides you’ll find anywhere. Select ships have side-by-side racing slides, which make serious competition seriously fun. Wear your speed suit for Speedway Splash, which features hundreds of feet of racing action, plus special lighting effects you’ll experience on the road to victory. DrainPipe™ ends with one major swirl of a finish, while PowerDrencher™ takes soaking seriously — imagine the biggest bucket of water you’ve ever seen, raining down on you from above. And this isn’t just kids’ stuff — the young at heart are encouraged to zoom and splash around too! (WaterWorks configurations vary by ship.)
Playlist Productions
Everyone has those perfect songs that never fail to get them moving. Playlist Productions™ brings lists like yours to life! Your favorites become full-blown musical productions featuring singers and dancers bringing down the house. Shows vary by ship, but there’s a playlist for every music lover. Need a few examples? How about the spicy sounds of Amor Cubano™, the movie-magic soundtrack of FLICK™, or Vintage Pop™ with its 20s-jazz-meets-modern-hits? Release your inner rock-n-roll patriot during America Rocks™! Enter the center of groove with the passionate Heart of Soul™. Feel the arena-shaking sounds of Epic Rock™, the piano-pounding sounds of 88 Keys™, the totally bad-meaning-good 80s Pop to the Max™, plus the funky, sophisticated… and not-at-all exclusive Studio VIP™, where everyone’s welcome to come and get down!
The Punchliner Comedy Club
Comedy clubs on land… well, it’s kinda funny. Nobody likes paying cover charges, and you know that two-drink minimum? They’ve gotta be joking! You won’t find either of these at The Punchliner Comedy Club™ aboard your Carnival cruise. Up on stage you will find some real pros who know how to wedge a little laughter into anyone’s evening. You can count on these comedians to not hold back either. Since some of them get up and say exactly what’s on their mind, we also schedule family-friendly performances… so the only red faces in the audience are from laughing a little too hard.
Tip: We’ll say it again — The Punchliner Comedy Club features some shows that are family-friendly and some adult-only. You can choose which ones you attend! To help plan your evening, check the Fun Times — it’s delivered daily to your stateroom.
Dive-In Movies
Ready to see stars? Park yourself in front of the big screen — the really big screen — and settle in for some true stars with Dive-In Movies at Carnival Seaside Theater™. From the comfort of your poolside lounge chair you’ll enjoy sporting events and recent blockbuster films. Or bring your suit and take in all this action from the pool itself! The screen is big and beautiful so every seat is the perfect one, but it’s more than just the view… it’s the breeze, and the joy of enjoying some great entertainment together. So come out for a show and try to remember a breezier night you’ve spent at the theater.
Mega Deck Party
If a deck party has the power to bring together friendly rivals BlueIguana™ and RedFrog®, you can imagine what the Mega Deck Party can do for vacationers like you! Show up to the open-air Lido Deck pool area ready to have a good time under the stars. The ship’s DJ, cruise director and entertainment staff will be on-hand to get things going… and keep everyone moving. And when we say “everyone,” that means guests of all ages are welcome at this party! Make the most of your evening with games, giveaways, line dances — and more — well into the night.
Alchemy Bar
No magic spells are required to enjoy a cocktail creation at Alchemy Bar®, our unique vintage-themed cocktail “pharmacy” — all you need is a willingness to be surprised, to try something new. We’ve flipped through dusty old texts to uncover enticing combinations: select spirits, fresh juices, infused syrups, spices… and other tantalizing secrets performed before your very eyes by the true mix-masters: our bartenders. Choose a remedy from the menu, or let us prescribe you a custom elixir just for you, with or without alcohol.
Exclusive Carnival Brews
Who says good beers should be hard to find? And who says that the chilling you do at sea has to come to an end when your cruise is over? Not us! Now you can enjoy that vacation flavor on every ship in cans of original, Carnival-exclusive beers. Yep, we said “cans”! Three of the fan-favorites we’ve been brewing at sea — ParchedPig® West Coast IPA, ThirstyFrog® Caribbean Wheat and ParchedPig® Toasted Amber Ale — are now available as portable pints. And since these cans are available on every Carnival ship, it’s the first time ever you can get them outside of the onboard breweries where they originally came to life.
Mixologist Competitions
Are you known back home as the cocktail captain; raising spirits, mixing it up and pouring it over ice… pleasing the palates of friends and family, alike? Come cruise and show us what you’ve got. The onboard competition may be stiff, but don’t let that shake you — stir up your signature concoction and make flavor worth a savor using spirits from all over the map. We’ve got rum, mon, and there’s tequila, hombre… plus there’s even more to work with. Throughout the cruise, everyone will be able to enjoy this winning cocktail at bars throughout the ship.
Bingo
With more ways to win than ever before, bingo on a cruise ship is like no other. Get ready to play some crazy-exciting, hoot-and-holler-if-you-win-big bingo! The prizes are bigger, the packages are more fun and there are even souvenir daubers to mark your numbers… so bring your friends because the more people who play, the more money there is up for grabs. That next B-6 could be the lucky call that lands you a whopping $5,000 jackpot!
Cherry on Top
A cruise is the perfect time to treat yourself to something sweet, and Cherry On Top™ happens to be the perfect place. You’ll find this well-stocked candy-and-more-store not only great for enjoying some of your confectionery favorites, but the place to pick up food and apparel gifts for that special someone, even if — admit it — that someone happens to be you!
Karaoke
Believe us, you’ve got a rock star, pop idol or country crooner inside you. Let yours out aboard a Carnival cruise — take the stage and grab the mic because our ears are waiting. Every ship features live karaoke action, so whether your musical dreams are built on classic riffs or modern hits, come aboard and check our huge catalog — you’ll find hot tracks you’ve been burning to perform. Ready to hit us with an ‘80s classic? Sing some Motown? Bring the boy-band? Indulge away — karaoke happens all throughout your cruise. Your moment in the spotlight is here.
Shopping
FINE JEWELLERY
If you catch sparkling on your cruise, it may be the night sky. It could be the sun on the waves. Or you may just be near The Fun Shops™, where you’ll discover a selection of pretty much all that glitters. Like gold, of course… but there’s also diamonds, tanzanite, gemstones of every hue — even coloured diamonds! You won’t pay tax or duty on any of them: a great deal on top of great prices, take it from us. Try to catch our exclusive onboard trunk shows, where styles by top designers will be shown off by our experts in carat, cut, clarity… get all the Cs out on the seas.
WATCHES
Time isn’t really a big deal on vacation, so it may seem surprising that one of the best times to save on watches is during your cruise. But it’s true! From the simple to the sporty, the intricate to the luxurious, our onboard Fun Shops™ have a selection to fit your style, your wrist… and even your budget. Grab a new dive watch for your shore excursion, or something sparkly for elegant night, and you’ll save 35% to 75% off retail prices. Whether it’s a timepiece to commemorate a great vacation, a thoughtful gift for someone back home, or just because the time is right — all purchases are tax-free and duty-free! — head to The Fun Shops for big-time savings.
LIQUOR
Did you know that your bartender will be glad to list the ingredients of your favourite onboard cocktail? Give it a shake once you get home… but first, make sure your bar is ready for action. Stock up on spirits at the onboard Fun Shops™! Here, the savings start with up to 50% off prices on land, but they really add up when you subtract the taxes — every bottle at The Fun Shops, even the top-shelf stuff, is tax-free and duty-free. (The bottles are also bigger than most — we’re talking 33% bigger, 1 liter.) Raise a glass and drink deeply of great vacation memories… and vacation savings.
ACCESSORIES
It’s all in the details! The right accessory — cool sunglasses, elegant bracelet, butter-soft leather handbag — makes for the finishing touch that pulls your outfit together. To wrap up your next-level look, stop by The Fun Shops™, where you’ll find delightful details direct from top designers. Check yourself in designer sunglasses, jewellery both understated and bold, fine-leather bags… plus all the other little things that mean so much to your personal style. While you’re there, keep an eye out for limited-time-only special events — the perfect deal on that watch gift set or resort fashions may only come along once per sailing. But while pop-up sales may come and go, the tax-free, duty-free savings — which you definitely won’t find on land — are available all cruise long!
APPAREL
Come home from your Carnival cruise looking as refreshed as you feel. The Fun Shops™, located conveniently aboard the ship, let you wear your love for cruising — plus your taste for high fashion — on your sleeve. Live the cruise life with exclusive Carnival logo-wear… or the runway life with a great selection of authentic designer fashion, including the latest and hottest trends from some of the top names in fashion. Every fashionista’s dream includes tax-free and duty-free pricing, so that’s exactly what you’ll find on great looks for the entire family, right aboard your ship.
BEAUTY
A journey to new destinations is sure to give you a new outlook… so why not meet the experience with a new look? Treat yourself to cosmetics, fragrances and skincare items — up to 25% off retail prices. Located just steps from the heart of the ship, The Fun Shops™ have everything you need to pamper yourself, perfect your signature look or try out a new makeup trend with authentic top-name beauty products. Also keep an eye open for Travel Exclusives, extra-special deals on famous brands that you’ll only find on the ship. So whether oops! your favourite lipstick is in your other bag — or you’re just looking to try something new — stop in to The Fun Shops.
Dreams Studio
On the same ship with the waterslides and conga lines is actually a photographic oasis. Everybody looks their best, smiles their biggest smiles on vacation… and at Dreams Studio our professional photographers beautifully capture this side of individuals, couples, groups or families. Reserve your session and your journey begins. We’ll lead you to the best photo spots on the ship, in our onboard photo studio… or even ashore in some picturesque destinations. You’ll end up with amazing prints or high-quality digital files, and don’t forget to check out our photo packages, custom photobooks, collages and large prints.
Tip: Elegant Night on your cruise makes the perfect time to capture your all-dressed-up look in refined black & white portraits!
Atrium
Here’s where you come in! The Atrium — the entrance to the ship and to vacation itself — is your first impression of all the fun to come. We make sure that this, the very heart of the ship, screams “welcome aboard the fun!” With multi-level panoramic views, the Atrium gives you the perfect place to enjoy all the hustle and bustle. There’s always music playing here, whether it’s a live band or a party-pumping DJ, plus enjoy events throughout the day or a drink at the bar, anytime. This 360-degree funspot is also home to the Guest Services desk, the place you go if you have questions for one of our certified fun experts… about just about anything that’s on your mind.
Piano Bar
Play it again, Sam. Or Diana. Or whatever your name is. Because this is the bar where you call the shots… and the tunes. Hey songbird — pull up a seat, order your favorite cocktail and let your friendly piano player know what you’d like to hear. Then join the singalong for a hand-clapping, foot-tapping, finger-snapping good time. Don’t feel like flexing your vocal cords? No worries — hummingbirds are welcome here, too. And since the bar’s open from the evening until late at night, it’s the perfect spot for an early drink or singing ‘til the wee hours.
Nightclub
Get up and get down at the most happenin’ club in the Caribbean. Our DJs are spinning today’s hottest hits and yesterday’s retro jams, guaranteed to get you out of your seat and tapping your feet. (Hey, that rhymed!) Whether you’re doing the robot or the worm or just swaying to the music, you’ll want to dance ‘til the sun rises. Or at least ‘til last call. (Some people are born with all the right moves, but the rest of us need a little instruction to smooth the sharp edges off of ours. That’s why you’ll find a host of free dance classes that sail along with you!)
Video Arcade
If you love to play video games, you’re in luck. Our video arcade boasts a huge array of games, and is open to players of all ages, all night and all day. Challenge your friends to a game, or just see if you can beat the top score. After all, with the video arcade open 24 hours and an entire cruise ahead of you, you have plenty of time to try.
Twister Waterslide
Above the ship you’ll find the shining sun, but that’s not all — basking in its rays is a gleaming symbol of fun, a monument to merriment… a sign of splashy-good times to come. Spot the spiraling Twister Waterslide™ atop your Carnival ship and you can be sure that your vacation comes complete with twists, turns and squeals of thrilled delight. Countless gallons of water rush through the entire length of this slide, so you’re by no means dry when you start, but by the time you reach the end — hundreds of feet later — you reach new levels of soaking, splashing down in that classic waterslide photo-finish: hands-up, eyes wide and nothing but exhilaration on your face.

BLACKJACK
Blackjack, the card game that’s as easy as counting up to 21, is one of the most popular table games… and it’s available on every sailing. Carnival ships feature Classic Blackjack, plus fun new twists like Fun 21™ and Face-Up Blackjack. With low buy-ins, hit the table and try your hand at big payouts.
POKER
You know poker. One of the most popular casino games, it’s all about holding onto some cards and letting other ones go. If that sounds simple enough, you’ll want to check out our collection of onboard poker games — from three-card tables where dealers shuffle and serve, to state-of-the-art Texas Hold’Em PokerPro tables, where you can see just what the deal is with touch-screen ease. Minimum bets are nice and low, but we haven’t forgotten about you, high rollers — there’s plenty of action at high-stakes tables and tournaments. Choose your game, play it right and you could end up collecting some serious winnings.
TABLE GAMES
Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or it’s your first time at the table, we have a game for you: roulette, craps, poker, blackjack and more! We’ve even got fun variations on these, like PokerPro tables and Carnival’s own Fun 21™ to keep the games fresh. Whether you take your stakes high or low, your table’s ready. We’ve got your favourites, but if you’re ready to sit down and try something new, our friendly casino staff will be glad to show you the ropes.
Don’t forget to bring your Sail & Sign® Card when playing your favourite table games. You’ll get rated for your play AND earn points towards Drinks On Us!, Carnival’s free drinks program.
CASINO PRIZE GAMES
Try to keep your excitement under control — at least for the time being — because you’re gonna need a steady hand and a little luck to win at our casino prize games. There are cash prizes and awesome electronics at stake, so when you win, you win big. At that point, feel free to go a little crazy, jump up and down if that’s your thing… because you and your steady hand are winners!
CASINO BAR
Winning big in the casino is big fun, and your next stop is celebrating with a top-shelf drink. Located right off the casino floor, the casino bar serves up your favourite cocktails, beer and wine, making this the perfect spot to celebrate with family, friends… and maybe even total strangers.
SkyCourse
The chance to complete an awesome challenge, high above it all… now that’s what you want in a good ropes course. An awesome ropes course, however, will let you do all that with a cool sea breeze and a view to match! Not sure that navigating a high-up-there challenge is for you? Did we mention that on SkyCourse™ you’ll be safely strapped in, emboldening you to take on the kinds of challenges you may not normally feel up to? Here everyone — even kids — become thrill-seekers, testing their ability to make their way around the course. The course features two levels of challenge, and you can increase or decrease the toughness as you go. So take to the sky… SkyCourse that is.
Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge
There’s a place in our heart for heroes… and now there’s a spot to salute them! We’re talking about the military folks you can count on to take a mission that matters and get it done. You’ll find proof of our commitment to them on board at Heroes Tribute™ Bar & Lounge, an ongoing recognition of sacrifices made by Armed Services personnel and their families. By the way… it’s also a friendly place to grab a drink! Everybody’s welcome at this bar, so get together and raise a glass to defenders of freedom.
Tip: The glass is important! Bring home an exclusive souvenir glass and we’ll donate $1 of your purchase to Operation Homefront. (This amazing organization provides military families with rent-free housing, helping get wounded veterans and their loved ones back on their feet.)
Live Music
Want to rock ‘n’ roll every night and every day? Well, you’ve come to the right ship. We bring some of the best performers on land out to sea for an ambiance that can’t be beat. From happy-go-lucky island rock at RedFrog Pub® to sing-alongs at the piano bar to let’s-get-this-party-started jams on Lido deck, chances are you’ll find a live performance on board that gets your hands clapping and toes tapping. And for the ultimate concert experience at sea, check out Carnival LIVE.
Groove for St. Jude
Any cruise can move you, but a Carnival cruise can move you to support a great cause like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®! Come on out to Groove For St. Jude — where we’re grooving on every sailing — and make a small donation to help us move towards finding cures and saving children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. We’ll hand you a t-shirt and wristband, but be sure to bring your dancing shoes because you getting down helps raise money and awareness for kids in need.
Alchemy Martini Tasting
Gather your most delicately-palated friends and family to join you at Alchemy Bar® — the premier onboard spot for a uniquely tasteful bar experience. Choose any four mini-martinis, selecting from flavours like Spicy Chipotle Pineapple, Curative Peach Cosmopolitan… or let us craft you a custom. And once you’ve found a favourite, you can make the full-size version your next order.
Pixels
Since photos are a big part of how you and your crew will remember your cruise, you can rely on Carnival’s photo-pros to bring your fun side into focus — lighting and background, shutter speed and aperture know-how goes into every shot they take. You’ll find our pros all over the ship: when you’re gathered around the dining room table, as you step off the ship at your destination… and plenty of times in between. You’ll even find creative and fun backdrops around the ship that you can casually stop by and do a quick pose in front of!
Savings tip: rather than buying individual photos, you should check out our Pixels photo packages — these get you more shots for less!
Holidays Aboard
You don’t need a reason to celebrate… but if you want one, look no further than your calendar. Every Carnival cruise is a celebration — especially on holidays — but we truly go all-out for a few special dates throughout the year. This makes the ship a great place to call home for a while, gathering with your friends and family. For one thing, there’s Halloween all October long, where costumes at sea are just the beginning. When Thanksgiving comes along, it calls for a feast… with absolutely no cooking on your part. Christmas festivities are a big deal, combining solemn traditions with jolly fun… and a huge tree. Finally, we close out the year — and begin the next one — with New Year’s Eve traditions like a huge party… and the party isn’t complete without an after-party. Ready to celebrate? Plan your cruise for the right dates and you’re in for even more festive fun.
Military Appreciation Gathering
At Carnival we have special ways of recognizing the service of U.S. and Canadian military members and veterans. Exclusive military cruise deals, for sure, but the biggest kudos come during the cruise: at the Military Appreciation Gathering. Here we not only honor their courage and commitment… but of course, that of their families too. We hold this event on absolutely every cruise — always during Military Appreciation Day — and everyone’s welcome to come and show their support. But special recognition always goes out to the longest-serving military member in the room, who brings home a special hero coin, while all members leave with a commemorative pin. Also good to know: one military member per month will win a free cruise, and this event is the only place to enter the sweepstakes.
Games
Play is essential to childhood development — that’s what cognitive scientists (fully-grown adults without bedtimes) believe! We would add that play is important to ALL ages, so onboard games are a huge part of the Carnival® experience for the young and old! From physical challenges to scavenger hunts to the very appropriate Battle of the Ages — the trivia game that actually pits kids against adults — Carnival puts the “all” in “fun for all.” (Not to mention the “fun.”)
Deal or No Deal
You know the game show with the briefcases stuffed full of money, a big red button and a mysterious banker phoning in deals? Yep, you’ve seen it on TV… and now you’ll find it on your next Carnival cruise. When it comes to Deal or No Deal at sea, there are actually TWO ways you could win — and only one of them is reserved for the lucky contestant up on the stage! It works like this: buy a game card (or save money by buying two), and each card you hold gives you another a chance to be randomly selected to take the stage and play the fan-favorite game of eliminating briefcases throughout the rounds for a shot at $1,000. But even if you’re not selected, you’re still in the game — matches on your game card let you move up the prize board. (And up to $5,000 goes to lucky cardholders in the audience!) Of course it’s 18+ to play, but everyone’s welcome to watch the fun from the studio audience. Deal?
DEAL OR NO DEAL is a trademark of Endemol Shine IP B.V.
820 Biscayne
We’re at home anywhere we sail… but you can only have one hometown, and for Carnival that is unmistakably Miami. So it’s not hard at all to locate the inspiration for 820 Biscayne on Carnival Celebration. If you’re wondering about the nameplate, that’s the address where it all got started — but nobody has to wonder where all the fun, flavor and good looks you’ll find in this zone were sourced. After all, it’s so authentically Miami… just check out the art deco designs, neon splashes and great flavors! On that note there’s Bar 820 for tropical cocktails and Cuban coffee, plus Deco Deli serving up a selection of classic sandwiches… Cuban faves included. And while Miami isn’t quite known as a pizza town, we don’t think you’ll mind that we’re serving up the cheesy stuff until 4 a.m. at Miami Slice. (Roll up your sleeves and dig in!) And like any cosmopolitan center, dining quality and variety counts big. That’s why you’ll find Cucina del Capitano and Rudi’s Seagrill restaurants in the neighborhood.
Latitudes Bar
The classic railway-inspired mechanical flap board is definitely the first thing you’ll notice about Latitudes™, but what sticks with you about this bar may just be something else. For instance, the drinks: specialty cocktails crafted not just to refresh, not merely to delight… but to actually match the scenery. What scenery, you’re wondering? At Latitudes no matter where we’re sailing, the views come to you from any corner of the world. Innovative virtual windows invite you to take in some of Earth’s most breathtaking views as you sit back and sip something delicious, whether you’re here for a special event, an occasion celebration… or simply a delicious departure from the ordinary.
Golden Jubilee
Imagine you’re building an amazing ship that’s packed with fun, innovative features, all set for the future. Thing is, you might still find yourself thinking about the past. We’re talking 50 years of good times, Carnival history… and this milestone has us thinking about how we got to this point, from humble beginnings way back in 1972.
So that’s why — if you were us — you might decide to pay tribute to this history by creating a space like The Golden Jubilee™ aboard Carnival Celebration! Like all the bars we’ve built, this one’s designed to help spread good vibes in an atmosphere that makes you want to raise a glass with your neighbor. And in that glass? Vintage cocktail perfection done up in Carnival’s own unique style, plus more selections inspired by our history. But this bar is just as much an entertainment spot, made for helping the good times flow with a stage that puts you right up close to the action of live performances.
That’s what this bar does, but can we talk about how it looks? The décor is decidedly classic, transporting you decades back through time. This aesthetic is made of actual artifacts from Carnival ships of the past, mixed with design elements inspired by our earliest ships. They built great stuff back then… and we still do, like the strollable exhibit of models and dioramas from Carnival ships throughout the ages. This may just remind you to think about the fun history you’re creating throughout your vacation.
Carnival Waterworks
For those who flock to waterparks just ready to make a splash, we’d suggest sliding on over to WaterWorks™ aboard Carnival Celebration®. Three large-scale spiraling slides, a giant dumping bucket, twin racing slides and more — you know, the works — are all practically overflowing for your hydro-delight. When you spot the big slides on board you’ll see that they mean business, splashy business: Blue Lightning™ is packed with headfirst, high-speed twists and turns, while Orange Thunder™ starts you off standing before propelling you down into a world of wetness… and of course, our signature Twister™ slide keeps on thrilling splash-seekers.
The Ultimate Playground
Don’t let the name fool you — this zone is ages everybody and up. Kids, you’re going to love this. And adults, the playground has grown up with you. So yay for play! Of course The Ultimate Playground starts with BOLT®, the first rollercoaster at sea, an all-electric thrill ride that puts the power of speed in your hands. But that’s only the beginning — this playground has the largest Carnival WaterWorks™ ever with three huge spiraling slides, plus SportSquare™ is here featuring an entire mini-golf course, full-court basketball and a ropes course. And, of course, more. Ultimate enough for you?
Summer Landing
Go ahead and call Summer Landing ‘the greatest chill spot at sea’… and we’ll be right there with you, any time of year! What’s three letters long and goes great with chilling outdoors? BBQ, so we’re building a Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse into this zone so it always tastes like summer here with freshly-smoked faves designed by Guy Fieri and original Parched Pig® beers brewed just feet away. If you’re wondering where the pool and whirlpool are, we’re so alike, you and us… and that’s why we’re sure you’re gonna love The Watering Hole, a poolside bar we’re building for aficionados of backyard-style relaxation. And for military folks — or folks who just want to raise a glass to them — please report to Heroes Tribute™ Lounge for great service. We know you guys like soft serve too, so we’re throwing in a Swirls™ location — one of two! And why wouldn’t we? At Summer Landing, fun this cool is literally always in season.

Loft 19
You don’t need to choose between a vacation that’s fun and one that’s indulgent. Loft 19™ is proof: a retreat-style experience right there on your cruise. Soak up the sun all day from the comfort of a lounge chair or Loft 19’s own infinity whirlpool, or opt for private time in the shade by renting a cabana. Just a few are available, so reserve yours early — for the day or for the voyage — and you’ll unlock extra indulgences like fresh fruit, chilled towels, lunch delivery and attentive concierge service.
Tip: Guests staying in Carnival Excel-level suites enjoy complimentary access to Loft 19™, and get priority cabana reservations!
Serenity Adult Only Retreat
Somebody at Carnival knows just what you need, and it’s pretty much exactly the Serenity Adult-Only Retreat™. Look, you’ll still be on the same ship as the kids, the hoopla, and all the Carnival-style excitement… but you could easily forget, because when you’re at Serenity you could not be further from it all. The world you’ll find yourself in is one of complete peace, sea breezes and, of course, a nearby bar. It’s the place to get done the kind of stuff you just can’t seem to do anywhere else — reconnect with your partner, finish that book, or do absolutely, blissfully, nothing at all.
Cloud 9 Spa
Sometimes you just need to get away… from all that vacation. We know — sitting at home, it’s hard to imagine that, but trust us — it’s really, really nice to have a place to unwind from the day’s excitement. Escape to a world designed, from the ground up, for relaxation. Cloud 9 Spa™ staff are masters (or, maybe more like artists) trained in the craft of simply helping you chill. What’s their secret? Massages, facials, body wraps, thermal suites and more — plus, on certain ships, the amazing Thalassotherapy Pool — these are the tools of the trade. And the trade is ultimate relaxation.
SportSquare
Your Carnival cruise may take you far, far away from the competitive daily rat-race, but you’ll find an oasis of friendly competition at SportSquare. Take on friends at mini-golf, battle strangers at basketball, or push yourself to new heights at SkyCourse™… or to record-setting low times at the jogging track. SportSquare™ gets you in the game with soccer and volleyball (the b-ball court converts!), brings pool, foosball and ping-pong to the table, and rounds things out for shaping up with your choice of stationary bikes, elliptical machines, weight-lifting equipment and punching bags. Are you game? (SportSquare offerings vary by ship.)
BASKETBALL
You may think basketball is all about the hoop and getting the ball in there, but you may not have ever played on a Carnival® ship. Here, it’s all about the journey to the hoop: the view and the sea breeze you take in as you drive your way past defenders to put the rock in the bucket. Say, that actually reminds us of cruising — the destinations may rock, but it’s all about getting there. (Be warned, though — on our court, strange as it may seem, traveling is still considered a foul.)
VOLLEYBALL
A Carnival cruise is all about service. There’s usually someone to take you dinner order, make your bed, bring you drinks, give massages at the spa, and so on. In fact, there’s actually very little aboard where you’re left to fend for yourself. Volleyball is an activity we’d definitely term to be — pardon the pun — self-service. That said, whatever your serving style happens to be — overhand, underhand, sidearm — you can take to the court and get the play started your way.
MINI GOLF
Ah, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer’s zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway… plus one cactus, a treasure chest… and wait, is that a windmill in the way? Just who designed this course anyway? Whoever it was, they had one thing in mind — maximum fun for mini-golfers, big and small! That’s precisely why you’ll find a course on every Carnival® ship, where you can hit the holes and take in everything you’d expect, like the sights and the sounds… plus the seagulls.
JOGGING TRACK
Jogging may not immediately come to mind when you think of things to do at sea, but it probably should. You don’t have to walk on water, you just have to get on a Carnival cruise. After all, if you’re going to jog, you’d be hard-pressed to find a place to do it with a more scenic view, or a more refreshing breeze — both of these are available in abundance when you go for an open-air jog on the upper-deck. Jogging tracks are available on almost all Carnival ships, and are even padded for long-distance comfort.
Cloud 9 Spa: Thalassotherapy Pool
On a Carnival cruise, the vast and beautiful sea is all around you. You can do all the looking you want from the ship, but sorry — no touching allowed. (We’re sure you’ll understand.) That’s what the thalassotherapy pool at the onboard Cloud 9 Spa™ is for! Get your sea-water fix and soak completely in it, easily absorbing all the relaxing, rejuvenating benefits of the trace elements and vitamins you’ll find in nature. Oh, and here’s one thing you’ll only find in our special pool: water jets that massage and invigorate. Mother Nature’s great, but she can’t do that.
Cloud 9 Spa: Thermal Suite
To be the king or queen of the thermostat — doesn’t it feel great? While bending the elements to your will, finding that perfect temperature for relaxation is awesome… even better is not needing to. Carnival’s Cloud 9 Spa™ thermal suites are dedicated relaxation zones with a variety of available environments, each carefully developed by our master climate artists. Whether you prefer to lounge in the dry heat of the Laconium or Tepidarium, or like a little soothing moisture in the air (in which case try the Oriental or Aroma steambaths), prepare to experience temperature nirvana.
Massage
Cruising always feels good, but it doesn’t usually — ooh, right there. Right where? Sorry, we’re at the onboard spa, where they do these amazing massages by hand. But they don’t just stop there — they’ve got tools to enhance the benefits too. Select from different hands-on experiences featuring seaweed for detox, herbal poultice for energy, bamboo for deep tissue penetration and hot stones for — ahhh — for perfection. We know you’re all about feeling good, and so are these massages.
Pools
POOL DAY! Whether today’s the day for a bit of a dip, a dash of splash or even some swimming — or just a serious poolside lounging session — your Carnival cruise has just the pool for you. In fact, pools are so important to a great cruise that we designed many of our ships to have two of them. At an aft pool you’ll catch a breeze, plus a sea view featuring the ship’s wake, while midship pools have an grand view of a different kind: the big screen’s right there for the viewing. And no matter which you find yourself chilling in, the sunbeams are yours for the soaking.
Facial Treatments
Your face is the first thing the world sees, and while a nice smile can make a world of difference, one of the best ways to put a smile on your face is with a nice, refreshing facial. Of course, there’s more to it than just feeling great… post-facial, your rejuvenated skin will also be looking its best, so there’s definitely substance behind the good looks you’ll be catching glimpses of in all the mirrors you pass. Whichever facial option you go for — and our onboard spa offers a few — you’ll be treated to a luxuriously enhancing experience.
Men's Spa Services
Hey man, been to the spa lately? Well, why let the ladies have all the fun? You can actually enjoy a lot of the same stuff they do, plus manly services like razor-close barbershop-style shaves — pair one with a facial to really get a good thing going up top. Speaking of the barber, a cruise is a great time to rock a whole new hairstyle, a quick grey-hair darkening, or even just a fresh trim. And what guy wouldn’t go for a little extra relaxation with a massage? Exactly, bro.
Medi-Spa
Has anyone told you lately that you’re a beautiful person? We’re telling you — we like you the way you are. Now, with that said, we want to let you know that your Carnival cruise contains a Medi-spa. We’re certainly not saying that you need them, but if you’ve been thinking about Botox or Dysport treatments, this spa is a good place to do them. Get them on vacation and they’ll always be administered by our onboard Medi-spa physician, a licensed medical doctor. These are non-surgical, anti-wrinkle procedures that show results in days, and last for months, so you can keep enjoying the benefits even after you’re back home.
Hair & Beauty Salon
A trip to the salon is an opportunity to relax, to chat with others, to focus on yourself. It’s about more than just getting your hair or nails done… but it’s definitely about getting your hair or nails done! Even though you’re on vacation, you won’t have to settle for anything less than the salon style you’re used to back on land. And these good looks go beyond the usual — we even offer services like teeth whitening… great for taking those ‘I’m on vacation and I’m looking great!’ smiles to the next level.
Fitness Centre
We have some bad news for you — your ship has a gym. In other words, there’s no excuse for leaving your fitness routine back on land. That’s great news, however, for your body, which will definitely benefit from all the extra energy that vacationing pumps directly into you. And let’s not forget the extra time you’ll have, since you won’t be waking up and spending most of the day at the office or anything like that. If those were some of your go-to excuses, we’re sorry, but we all know this is important. Why not treat yourself to some of our fitness classes — you might even have a little fun while you do something great for yourself!
FITNESS CLASSES
You can have all the will in the world, a great attitude that keeps you working hard at the gym, but still not see the results you’re hoping for. If that’s the case — or you’re just looking to shake things up with a little extra fun or challenge in your workout — check out Carnival’s selection of onboard fitness classes. Whether it’s yoga, pilates, indoor cycling or boot camp, there’s a fitness class that’ll get you the workout you need, and the instruction you need to do it right. Looking for a little extra attention? Look to personal training for a workout with that personal touch.
Enrichment
Cooking Demonstration
Learn to cook, Steakhouse-style from our team of chefs as they demonstrate the tricks of the trade used to make those multi-course dinners everyone loves so much. We take the joy of cooking and transform it into a delightful hour-long presentation of kitchen skill and ingenuity… where taste tests are always included.
Tip: This fun-for-the-whole-family event fills up fast, so get there early.
Cruise the Vineyards
From the soft and fruity flavour of the Merlot to the light and dry Sauvignon Blanc, for those who appreciate wine, a Cruise the Vineyard package is a must. Choose from three packages featuring selections from Italy, New Zealand, France, Australia, Germany, California, Washington and Oregon. Sip and savour favourites at a discounted price — ask your Dining Room server how.
Carnival Kitchen
So you’ve come home from a Carnival cruise with stories to tell, photos to share, maybe a suntan… but how about upgraded BBQ skills? New sushi-rolling abilities? Or maybe you’re suddenly whipping up Thai meals, from soups to satays and beyond. You could act like it’s your natural talent — but we’d really prefer you tell folks how much fun you had at Carnival Kitchen!
Everybody knows how delicious Carnival cruises are, so we’re getting our culinary pros to share some of their secrets with you. Classes are small, seats are limited — save yours now — but the flavour possibilities are endless, with hands-on instruction in over a dozen culinary disciplines, all kicking off on Carnival Panorama®. So the next time you cruise, will you be coming home a cupcake master? The tailgate-party hero who takes things way beyond chips and dip? A brunch ninja making it all look pretty easy — because with a little planning, it actually is! Have a deliciously fun time onboard… and take some skills to-go.
Art Exhibitions
Even if you don’t “know” much about art, of course you can still tell when you like something — who needs a refined palette to know when a piece is good? Carnival® leaves snobbish cultural pretensions ashore, and makes art something that everyone can enjoy with a series of events designed to bring great art where it belongs — to the people. Take part in an art-themed battle of the sexes or check out showcases highlighting the best of, say, European artists or world-famous pop artist Peter Max. You can’t get any closer to great art… without buying it.
Art Seminars
Go from ‘normal vacationer’ to ‘world-traveling art whiz’ in one cruise flat — Carnival® offers such a variety of educational and enlightening seminars that we should hand out Art History degrees at the end of each cruise! We may not be an accredited university, but your cruise features an ‘Art 101’ lecture series designed to be your entrance into this vibrant world. We’ll go from the earliest cave paintings to the modern masters — with stops at topics like the Renaissance, Baroque, Surrealism and Pop Art — and cover both theory and technique. You’ll walk away with a spectrum of knowledge to use at your next art auction… or to elevate your cocktail party chatter.
Art Auctions
A room full of too-serious old men, many wearing monocles, paying top-dollar for priceless antique works of art. If that’s the “art auction” that comes to mind, adjust your expectations before your Carnival® cruise! Unlike a stodgy auction house, your vacation features a series of auction events designed to turn high art into high fun. From the rapid-fire “Lightning” action to the cheap thrills of the “under $500” event, there are plenty of chances to try your hand at bringing home something great and have a blast doing it. Unlike land auctions, we even hold fun interactive events like the “Guess the Price” competition. That said, our onboard auctions aren’t completely without fancy things — after all, what’s an auction without free-flowing champagne?
Art Games
Art is full of emotion, and as your Carnival® ship sails, you’ll have the chance to experience art truly in motion… during lively onboard art games! Nobody would mistake this vacation for a ‘still life’ — these action-packed competitions truly ‘pop,’ giving you a chance to try your hand at ‘impressionism’ — showing what you know about the dollars and cents of art valuation. But leave your dollars and cents in your pocket — it’s always free to play, even though we’ve raised the stakes… in this game, there’s an artful prize on the line.

Packing Tips
To help you plan, on cruises of 3-5 days, please limit your luggage to a maximum of one bag, per person. On cruises of 6 days or longer, no more than two bags, per person. Each checked bag and carry-on bag should not weigh more than 50 pounds and, when lying flat, bags must not exceed 16 inches high, by 24 inches wide (the length of the bag is not a factor). For security screening purposes, all luggage should be unlocked. Oversized luggage and locked luggage may cause delivery delays.
You must personally carry-on any boarding documentation (passports, visas, I.D), valuables, medications and items which require special handling or that you need access to while your checked luggage is being delivered. And don’t forget your personal toiletries (travel size or standard container size).
There are a number of must-pack items that we recommend every cruiser consider when preparing for a Carnival cruise. Before you get started, check out our What to Wear section and research the weather forecast for the ports you’ll be visiting to determine exactly what you will need to bring. In order to maintain a safe and secure environment, Carnival prohibits certain items on board, such as weapons, candles, irons, alcohol, or other dangerous goods. Carnival conducts security safety scanning of all luggage and if prohibited items are found, they will be removed and disposed of and no compensation will be given. Please review our list of Prohibited Items before shutting your suitcase.

Disabled Facilities
FACILITIES AND SERVICES FOR GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES
At Carnival, we’re dedicated to offering a fun and memorable cruise experience to all our guests. Our team of trained crew members provides attentive service and our ships have a variety of accessible features to ensure our guests with disabilities have a relaxing and enjoyable cruise. We are working on additional modifications to our ships and services to further enhance the guest experience. Look for updates to this page periodically for more details.
While we provide attentive service, we do not provide one-on-one personal care assistance, and all guests must be able to provide such care for themselves (e.g., performing personal tasks such as eating, dressing, toileting, bathing, and getting around the ship). Once on board, our crew will not provide any assistance with such personal tasks.
GENERAL ACCESS
We’ve made substantial modifications to our ships, to help make them easier to navigate. Our ships feature accessible elevators at each elevator bank, equipped with both tactile controls within reach of guests who use wheelchairs and audible signals for guests who are blind or have limited vision.
Accessible routes are available throughout most areas of the ship and signs are posted to assist you in locating these pathways. Accessible tables are available in the dining venues of each ship. In addition to the main dining rooms, each ship offers a variety of accessible dining options within Lido Deck casual dining areas and other restaurant venues. 24-hour room service is also available for all our guests. Pool lifts are only available on Carnival Horizon, Carnival Panorama, Carnival Radiance, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Vista, and Mardi Gras, all of which have a 300 pound weight limit.
ACCESSIBLE STATEROOMS
Our ships have specially designed staterooms for guests using wheelchairs, or those who have mobility limitations and could benefit from the features of an accessible stateroom. We request our guests to acknowledge the need for the accessible stateroom by completing this Mobility Questionnaire, or one will be sent to you once the reservation has been secured and you have notified Carnival that you, or the person you are securing the stateroom for, requires the accessibility features of the stateroom.
If an accessible stateroom is booked by a guest who does not need the accessibility features in the stateroom, they may at any time be moved to a non-accessible stateroom in order to accommodate a guest with a disability.
We have four classifications of staterooms:
- Fully Accessible Cabins (FAC): These staterooms are designed for use by guests with highly limited mobility or no mobility, who require the regular use of a wheelchair, scooter or other similar assistive devices. Fully Accessible Cabins contain accessible elements including turning space, accessible routes throughout the stateroom and an accessible bathroom. Additionally, the bathrooms contain grab bars and shower seats.
- Fully Accessible Cabins – Single Side Approach (FAC-SSA): These staterooms are designed for use by guests with highly limited or no mobility, who require the regular use of a wheelchair, scooter or other similar assistive devices. Fully Accessible Cabins – Single Side Approach are a type of FAC that provides an accessible route and clear floor space on only one side of the bed, in staterooms configured to provide only one bed. In a stateroom configured to provide two beds, the clear floor space will be between the beds, with one side of each bed getting an accessible route. Additionally, these staterooms have an accessible bathroom that contains grab bars and shower seats.
- Ambulatory Accessible Cabins (AAC): These staterooms are designed for use by guests with mobility limitations, who do not require the regular use of a wheelchair, scooter, or other similar assistive devices. For example, Ambulatory Accessible Cabins are ideal for guests who only use an assistive device (like a cane or a walker) for traversing longer distances, and who may benefit from certain accessible features like grab bars, to assist with balance. Please keep in mind this type of stateroom has a step going into the bathroom and balcony (if applicable).
- Standard Cabins: These staterooms have an entry doorway measuring approximately 22″ (55.9 cm), an 8″ (20.3 cm) lip into the cabin bathroom, a 4″ (10.2 cm) lip into the shower stall and a 7″ (17.8 cm) lip to the balcony (if applicable). As with all Carnival reservations, staterooms within each category are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Therefore, it is advisable to reserve an accessible or modified stateroom in advance. If an accessible stateroom is booked by a guest who does not need the accessibility features in the stateroom, they may at any time be moved to a non-accessible stateroom in order to accommodate a guest with a disability.

PERSONAL MOBILITY DEVICES (WHEELCHAIRS/SCOOTERS/SEGWAYS)
We strongly encourage guests to inform us if they are traveling with wheelchairs/scooters at the time of booking, or as soon as the need is known, to ensure they have a stateroom that best accommodates their needs. Only mobility devices operated with gel, dry cell, absorbed glass mat, or lithium-ion batteries will be allowed on board. Batteries must be charged in the guest’s stateroom and for this reason, we recommend guests travel with a scooter that has removable batteries.
Due to safety considerations, devices cannot be stored in corridors or public areas. In order to purchase a standard stateroom, devices must be able to fit in its 22″ (55.9 cm) wide entry doorway, and when stored, must allow for safe exit from the stateroom. Guests, who bring scooters that are larger than 21″ (53.34 cm) wide, or travel with multiple scooters in the same stateroom, must purchase a fully accessible stateroom with a wider doorway (32”, 81.3 cm), or rent a smaller scooter appropriately suited for their stateroom. Guests may be required to have their scooters sized at the time of check-in to ensure it fits in the stateroom. Scooters that do not fit in the stateroom will not be allowed on board. Should a guest be unable to make alternate arrangements to rent a smaller scooter or travel without it, he/she will be denied boarding and no compensation will be provided.
Guests must be prepared to collapse their device so it can be safely stored in a way that allows for safe exit from their stateroom. If bringing a scooter, please bring one that can collapse or fold so that it may be stored in the closet or underneath the vanity area. Once on board, guests may contact their room steward for assistance.
Guests must drive at a safe speed to ensure their own safety and the safety of others on board. Raised door thresholds are present throughout the ship, which need to be traversed with care. Careful attention must be paid when backing in and out of elevators as they are often in close proximity to the staircase and may be narrow and difficult to navigate. Guests wishing to disembark the vessel on their device must also be able to safely navigate the angle of the gangway while the ship is docked in port. Additionally, if the ship is calling on a water shuttle port, the captain will make a determination as to whether guests may disembark with their device given prevailing maritime conditions and water shuttle limitations.
Mobility devices cannot be left unattended in any venue area unless the guest is temporarily away attending an event and, the device is parked in an area that allows all guests safe exit from the venue. When in public areas, guests must maintain their device clear of any exits or fire doors and ensure it does not obstruct any fire or safety equipment.
Guests bringing a Segway must store it in their stateroom for use at ports of call only.
RENTAL SERVICES
Guests who require the regular use of a wheelchair/scooter or other mobility device are encouraged to bring their own or rent from our preferred vendor, Scootaround, if they are sailing from a US port. For safety reasons, we recommend a scooter that either folds or disassembles so it can be easily stored in your stateroom.
If you are thinking of renting a wheelchair or scooter and haven’t done so already and you are departing from a US port, we encourage you to visit www.scootaround.com, or call 1-888-441-7575. Scootaround’s team of trained professionals is able to review the different rental options available based on your accommodations and find the one that best suits your needs. As a preferred vendor, they have unique access to deliver your rented equipment on board Carnival ships in North America.
AIRPORT TRANSFER
For transportation from the airport to the cruise port, a hydraulic lift transfer is available for guests with mobility limitations. This service must be requested in advance. Hydraulic lifts have a maximum weight limit of 500 pounds (226 kg), including wheelchair/scooter and guest. Standard airport transfer charges apply; there is no additional cost for the lift. If you require this service, please let us know no later than 14 days prior to sailing. After booking your cruise, you can reserve your hydraulic lift transfer online, by accessing the Manage My Cruise page or by calling the Guest Services Contact Center at 1-800-438-6744 ext. 70025 or 1800-072-670 ext. 70025 if calling from Australia.
WHEELCHAIR ASSISTANCE
Each terminal has a limited supply of wheelchairs used to transport guests onto and off the ship, so we are unable to loan you our wheelchairs for the duration of the cruise. If you need wheelchair assistance for boarding the ship, please contact one of our representatives once you arrive at the cruise terminal. Assistance will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. For assistance with debarkation, instructions on where to meet can be found in the Fun Times onboard newsletter distributed on the last evening of your cruise.
GOING ASHORE
At certain ports of call, water shuttles are required to transport guests between the ship and shore. Carnival is committed to accommodating its guests with disabilities so they can fully, yet safely, enjoy the ports of call. Whether guests with mobility limitations can board a water shuttle is subject to numerous factors, including weather and tidal conditions, which may affect the transfer from one moving vessel to another. Also, facilities in ports vary and, therefore, certain water shuttles may not be accessible to individuals using wheelchairs, scooters and other mobility devices. While the sea and wind conditions may be acceptable to safely board the water shuttle, fluctuations in the weather may make re-boarding to return to the ship dangerous. The final determination of whether any guest may board a water shuttle is made by the captain. Safety restrictions prohibit crew from carrying individuals on or off water shuttles.
Alcohol Policy and Drinks Packages
Drinking Alcohol On Board
The minimum age for the purchase and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages in the bars, lounges and gift shops is 21 years of age. Carnival reserves the right to request ID prior to the purchase of alcohol and refuse the sale of alcohol to anyone.
Bringing Liquor and Beverages On Board – Embarkation
Guests are prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages that are packaged in glass or plastic bottles.
On embarkation day, a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, energy drinks, juice, and milk), packaged in cans or cartons, may be brought on board and must be in the guest’s carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12-ounces/354-ml each or less, per person.
Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception – at the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750-ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne, per person, in their carry-on luggage.* Outside this exception, all liquor, beer, other forms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage and such items will be confiscated and discarded and no compensation will be provided. Guests sailing with us on back-to-back cruises are entitled to bring the same quantity as stated in this policy, per cruise. The additional quantities will be stored for safekeeping at the start of the first cruise and will be given to the guest as each following cruise begins.
* Port, Vermouth, Sherry and other fortified wines cannot be brought on board.
Corkage Fee
Should guests wish to consume their wine or champagne in the main dining room, specialty restaurant or bar, a $15.00 USD corkage fee, per 750-ml bottle, will be charged. A corkage fee is a charge that is assessed, at time of service, for every bottle that is served and not bought on the premises.
Bottled Water
For convenience, guests can purchase bottled water prior to the cruise and it will be delivered to the stateroom on embarkation day. Bottled water may also be purchased on board by contacting room service. Once on board, the purchase is non-refundable and guests may take home any unopened bottles.
To ensure we have an ample supply, please visit The Fun Shops™ at www.carnival.com/funshops to place your order before your cruise.
- $11.95 USD (plus an 18% delivery fee) for a 12-pack of bottled water (16.9-ounce bottle/500-ml bottle)
- $4.50 USD (plus an 18% delivery fee) for 1 large bottled water (50.72-ounce bottle/1.5-liter bottle)
- $24.95 USD (plus an 18% delivery fee) for 8-pack of bottled water (50.72-ounce bottle/1.5-liter bottle)
Distilled Water
Carnival carries distilled water which can be purchased either pre-cruise or once on board. For pre-purchase, please contact our Fun Shops department at 800-522-7648, Monday through Friday, 9:00am-10:00pm ET and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am-6:00pm ET. For purchase on board, please contact room service. Should you wish to bring your own distilled water with you, it must be hand carried along with your CPAP machine.
Coolers
Guests are prohibited from bringing large coolers since screening and movement of large coolers through embarkation is an impediment to the boarding and security process. However, for the purpose of carrying small quantities of non-alcoholic beverages and/or medications small, personal-sized coolers, no larger than 12” x 12” x 12” are permitted as carry-on luggage.
Purchasing Liquor Pre-Cruise through The Fun Shops
All products sold containing alcohol have a limit of two products per stateroom. On 7 day and longer cruises, there is a limit of one bottle of hard liquor per stateroom and on shorter cruises, pre-cruise purchases are limited to wine, champagne and beer (no hard liquor). A ‘pack’ or ‘package’ is considered one product.
Alcohol purchased pre-cruise through The Fun Shops for on board consumption is designed for in-stateroom entertainment only. Guests cannot take items with them to public areas. Only wine or champagne that is ordered through The Fun Shops can be served in the dining room or Steakhouse. If the item is not consumed on board during the cruise, the guest may take it home provided the bottle has not been opened.
Our CHEERS! Beverage Program must be purchased for each adult (21 years of age or older) assigned to the same stateroom.
Purchasing Liquor at Ports of Call and On Board at The Fun Shops
All alcohol purchased ashore or in The Fun Shops will be stored for safekeeping until the end of the voyage. Items are to be collected in a designated lounge on debarkation morning. Liquor may be subject to Customs duty if it exceeds allowable amount.
While in port, a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought on board. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12-ounces/354-ml each or less per person.
Smoking Policy
Carnival Cruise Line is dedicated to the safety of all guests and crew. We want all our guests to have a safe, fun and memorable vacation.
Smoking is a fire and safety hazard on a ship. Consequently, it is strictly limited to specific exterior deck areas and in the casino when seated and playing. All guests are expected to adhere to the following safety guidelines:
- All staterooms and suite accommodations, including outside balconies, are NON-SMOKING. This policy applies to all forms of smoking, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, vaporisers, electronic cigarettes and marijuana.
- Carnival recognises that some state and local governments in the U.S., and in the destinations we visit, might allow marijuana use. However, Carnival Cruise Line follows U.S. federal law, which strictly prohibits possession and use of recreational/medicinal marijuana and other illegal controlled substances.
- Any violation of this policy will result in a $500 charge, per violation, posted on the guest’s Sail & Sign® account and may also result in the disembarkation of all guests in the stateroom.
Guests who are disembarked for violating our policy will be responsible for all financial charges and expenses to return home, and no refund of their unused cruise fare will be provided. Additionally, they may be prohibited from sailing with Carnival Cruise Line in the future.
Our smoking policy is included in Carnival’s Cruise Ticket Contract.Follow the link for ship specific smoking areas.
In keeping with U.S. federal law, the minimum age to purchase tobacco products is 21. This policy is for U.S.-based itineraries/ships only.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if a guest is caught smoking in a stateroom or balcony?
They will be assessed a $500 charge, per violation, on their Sail & Sign® account. Information on this charge is included in Section 8 of Carnival’s Cruise Ticket Contract. The assessment of this charge does not allow a guest to continue smoking in his/her stateroom. If a guest is found to be in violation of our smoking policy, all guests in the stateroom may be disembarked from the vessel and risk not being allowed to sail on Carnival in the future. Guests will be responsible for all financial charges and expenses to return home, and no refund of unused cruise fare will be provided.
What should guests do if they smell tobacco in areas where smoking is not allowed, or marijuana in any area?
Guests who are concerned about other guests violating our smoking policy should contact our onboard Guest Services team, so we can address the situation. This will help avoid uncomfortable situations between guests.
What if a guest has a letter from a doctor saying that they are allowed to use marijuana for medicinal and/or therapeutic purposes? Why is that prohibited?
Marijuana on our ships is not allowed. Guests will need to consult with their physician for other suitable alternatives.
Special Diets
We don’t all have the luxury of dropping our diets when we go on holidays. If you’ve got an eye on what crosses your plate, we’ve got your back. Carnival’s chefs are specially-trained to prepare food options for a variety of diets — vegetarian, gluten-free, kosher, Indian vegetarian, or food low in carbs, fat, sugar or cholesterol — so you don’t have to let your dietary restrictions restrict you from having a great time. Or from having seconds. There are also helpful hints on our Empire Dining menu.
Medical Information
Medical Staffing and Equipment
In order to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our guests, our medical centres meet or exceed the standards established by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
Our medical centres are staffed by qualified physicians and nurses who are committed to providing the highest quality of shipboard medical care. Medical staffing is correlated to the size of the ship and varies from one physician and three nurses to as many as two physicians and five nurses.
Ship’s physicians meet or exceed the credentialing guidelines established by the cruise ship medicine section of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). In addition, doctors must demonstrate competent skill levels and hold current certification in basic and advanced cardiac life support and cardiac care, have experience in general medicine or general practice including emergency or critical care, and have one to three years clinical experience and minor surgical skills, and board or similar international certification is preferred. The doctors on board are independent contractors.
Shipboard medical facilities are set up to provide reasonable emergency medical care for guests and crew. In cases of extreme emergency where more comprehensive facilities are required, patients are referred to shore side facilities.
In addition to standard lifesaving equipment such as defibrillators and external pacemakers, our medical centres carry some of the latest in medical technology including thrombolytic therapy, electrocardiograph machines, lab equipment, pulse oximetry and x-ray machines on many of our ships.
Medical Emergencies
When a medical emergency arises on board, the ship’s Physician shall make the decision that an air evacuation/emergency disembarkation is warranted.
The Captain is notified immediately in order to confer with the physician about any need to change the course or speed of the ship or to communicate with the appropriate rescue agency (i.e., United States Coast Guard).
Depending on the location of the ship and the condition of the patient, a decision will be made about the best and safest way to disembark the patient – that can be diverting the ship and transferring the patient to a shore side medical facility, or via helicopter or via rapid boat.
We do not have helipads on the Carnival Cruise Line fleet.
Service Dogs
The only dogs Carnival permits aboard our ships are working service dogs, which are legally defined and individually trained to meet disability-related needs by performing tasks like guiding a blind person, alerting a deaf person, pulling wheelchairs, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, or performing other special tasks. Working service dogs are not pets.
Pets, or service dogs in training, are not allowed aboard. Emotional support dogs, which are not recognized by the US Department of Justice, are also not permitted on Carnival ships.
If you are traveling with a working service dog that meets the requirements described above, please review the following policies and procedures:
- Many of our ports of call have established strict entry requirements for animals. Therefore, guests traveling with working service dogs must visit the Department of Agriculture website , or their service animal’s veterinarian, to determine each destination country’s policy regarding admission of working service dogs.
- Carnival is not responsible for limitations imposed on working service dogs by entities or shore excursion providers in foreign ports of call.
- Note that many of the ports you may visit will only accept annual rabies vaccinations and do not recognize three-year rabies vaccination.
- Mexican ports require service dogs to have received an ecto-parasite and endo-parasite treatment no more than 15 days prior to arrival to port and this information should be included in the dog’s health certificate. If you have any questions, please consult with your veterinarian.
- If your itinerary includes a visit to Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands requires service dogs to travel with the necessary documentation (including an import license) regardless of whether or not the service dog will disembark in Grand Turk. Grand Turk also has breed restrictions as per their Dogs Control Ordinance 2014. No import license shall be issued for the restricted breeds. Any restricted breed service dog, or any service dog without all the proper documentation, will not be able to board the ship at embarkation.
- You must hand-carry (not packed in your baggage) all required documents, along with your working service dog’s current vaccination records. You will be asked to submit these records once aboard.
So that we may provide you with the additional information you will need in order to sail with your working service dog, please email our Guest Access Department at [email protected], or call 1-800-438-6744 ext. 70025 or 1800 072 670 ext. 70025 if calling from Australia.

Carnival has become the first cruise line to be certified “sensory inclusive” by KultureCity®, a leading nonprofit dedicated to accessibility and inclusion for individuals with sensory and invisible disabilities. This program is featured fleet wide including our ships sailing from Australia.
All of Carnival’s guest-facing crew aboard these ships have been trained to understand and help a guest with a sensory/cognitive need. The Guest Services and Youth Staff are ready to assist adults, youth and children with sensory-related questions or issues relating to conditions such as Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, PTSD, etc. KultureCity Sensory Bags can be checked out for the duration of the cruise (on a complimentary and first-come, first-served basis) by visiting Guest Services or one of our Youth programs. Each bag contains items to help calm, relax and manage sensory overload, and include comfortable noise-cancelling headphones, fidget tools, a visual feeling thermometer and a KultureCity VIP lanyard, to help the staff easily identify a guest.
These measures have been proven to be helpful to guests in a variety of venues, including stadiums, arenas and amusement parks and now Carnival ships!

Health & Fitness
Men’s Spa Services

In addition, here are some other recommended items:

- Sunglasses
- Rain jacket or poncho and/or small umbrella

What Not to Pack

KultureCity® “Sensory Certified”
If a guest with a sensory or cognitive need is cruising, the family should meet with Guest Services once they are on board to discuss any special accommodations, including a private safety briefing.
Youth staff have different resources on-hand to help soothe, calm and entertain children participating in our youth programs: such as weighted vests, conversation cards, sensory games and other aids.
Carnival Cruise Line and KultureCity share a heartfelt commitment to acceptance and inclusivity. Working together, all guests can be the truest versions of themselves on board a Carnival cruise ship.
