Introduction

On your way you’ll find onboard spots designed for your palate, whether you prefer to be wined — check out Jeanne’s Wine Bar, or dined — direct your taste buds to the Washington or Lincoln dining rooms… or even downright indulged at Scarlett’s Steakhouse. Let yourself be swept away to the Dream Bar for a drink, or get a little carried away rooting for your favorites at the Bronx Bar.

Kids can get caught up in all the excitement of being kids, hanging with others their age at Carnival Valor’s three supervised youth spaces. Or they can join the wacky, wonderful Dr. Seuss bunch for character story-time (and more!) at Seuss at Sea. And pretty much anyone, young or slightly-less-young, will be thrilled by our 214-foot long, four-deck-tall Twister waterslide.

There’s a fun vacation waiting to happen to you, and it lives aboard Carnival Valor.

Disabled Facilities

Carnival ships have specially designed staterooms for guests using wheelchairs. They have two classifications of staterooms: Accessible staterooms are reserved for guests that have a mobility disability or disability that requires the use of the accessible features that are provided in the stateroom. Carnival require their guests to acknowledge the need for the accessible stateroom by completing a Special Requirements Form. This form will be sent to guests once the reservation has been secured and they have notified Carnival Cruise Lines that they or the person the stateroom is being secured for, requires the stateroom. If an accessible stateroom is booked by a guest who does not need the accessibility features in the stateroom, they may be moved at any time to another non-accessible stateroom in order to accommodate a guest with a disability. Modified Cabins: these cabins are designed for guests who may utilise a wheelchair or similar assistance device (e.g. for distance) (and include features such as grab bars and shower seats in the bathrooms). Accessible Cabins: these cabins are designed for guest with highly limited or no mobility who utilise wheelchairs or other similar assistive devices (and include features such as turning space; accessible routes throughout the cabin; and accessible bathrooms). As with all Carnival reservations, staterooms within each category are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, it is advisable to reserve an accessible or modified stateroom in advance. Standard Cabins: these cabins have an approximately 22"-30" entry doorway an 8" lip into the cabin bathroom, a 4" lip into the shower stall, and 7" lip to the balcony (if applicable). Mobility Scooters: Passenger scooters must be stored and batteries recharged in your stateroom. Due to safety considerations, wheelchairs and scooters cannot be stored in the corridors. Your personal scooter should be able to fit in a standard stateroom with a 21" entry doorway. If your scooter is larger than 21", you must purchase a modified stateroom or rent a smaller scooter. Segways and other similar vehicles are not permitted onboard Carnival vessels.

Deaf / Hard of Hearing

For guests who are deaf or hard of hearing a portable room kit is available if requested prior to sailing. It includes a visual-tactile alert system that provides alerts for the door knocking, telephone ringing, alarm clock and smoke detector. A TTY (teletypewriter) is also available which interfaces with the Information Desk which is available 24 hours a day to meet guests stateroom needs.

Blind / Visually Impaired

Braille signage is available onboard Carnival ships, indicating cabin numbers and public rooms names. The only Braille format documents available are the in-cabin directories and room service menus. Large print format is available for the dining room menus, Carnival Fun Times, and shore excursion information. Carnival can also provide an audible format of the Carnival Fun Times. Please contact Guest Services once onboard should you require any of these items.

Service Dogs

Carnival Cruise Lines only permits service/working dogs onboard, a working/service dog is legally defined and is trained to meet the disability related need. Carnival do not allow guests to sail with therapy/companion dogs or service dogs in training. Service dogs must have current vaccinations; these vaccinations are in addition to what governing port officials require. Please know that many of the ports you may visit will only accept annual rabies vaccinations. The three-year rabies vaccination is not recognised in many countries. It is the guest’s responsibility to contact the Department of Agriculture or your Service Dogs Veterinarian to obtain information on the requirements at each port. The failure to have the required vaccinations or documentation may result in your service animal not be able to disembark or quarantine. If you choose to disembark the ship in a visiting port of call, in which your service dog does not have the required documents, or you choose to leave your service dog onboard. You must make arrangements for the care of your dog. The ship's staff cannot care for the dog, nor can the dog be left in the stateroom unattended. Please carry the original records of vaccinations and any permits required for visiting ports of call with you while traveling. A copy of these permits must be left with the Guest Services desk upon boarding.

Special Dietary Requirements

Most simple diet requirements can be accommodated onboard. Carnival do not have Dieticians onboard; therefore, they can only offer assistance with simple requests such as the method of preparation (including no cross-contamination) of menu items. If you have a food allergy, please consult with the dining staff for assistance with meal options and food preparations. Arrangements for all special diet requirements need to be arranged with the guest's Head Waiter on the first night of the cruise. Carnival Cruise Lines can provide their guests with the following special dietary needs: Vegetarian, Low-Cholesterol, Low-Fat, Low-Carbohydrates, Low-Sugar, Gluten Free, Indian Vegetarian, and Kosher. For Indian Vegetarian and Kosher meals, two weeks advance notice prior to your cruise is required. Guests are kindly asked that they please inform the dining team so they can discuss their meal options. Additionally, Carnival also request guests advise the dining team of any food allergies guests have. Any special dietary and food requests can be accommodated in the main dining rooms only.

Smoking and E-Cigarette

Effective on voyages departing October 9, 2014, or thereafter, all staterooms and suite accommodations are an entirely smoke free environment, including the outside balcony. Cigarette and E-cigarette smoking will continue to be allowed in designated exterior open deck areas, as well as in the night club, and in certain areas within the casino (for playing guests) and casino bar. Cigar and pipe smoking will continue to be allowed in designated exterior open deck areas only. Note: Guests who smoke in their staterooms or on their balconies will be assessed a $250 cleaning and refreshing fee on their Sail & Sign account. Information on this fee is included in Carnival's cruise ticket contract. Guest agrees to strictly comply with Carnival’s non-smoking policy

Age Restrictions

Drinking alcoholic beverages: Guest must be 21 years of age or older to be served alcohol on board. Proper I.D. with date of birth is required. Casino: Guest must be 18 years of age or older to play the tables and the slot machines. Guests under 18 years of age are not permitted in the casino. Spa Carnival and fitness centre Guests under 12 years of age are not permitted in these facilities. Guests between the ages of 12 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Lounges, shows, and the dance club: Guests under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult in all public areas of the ship. Guests under the age of 18 must vacate the dance club by 10:00pm. Guests under the age of 18 may not attend the Midnight Shows comedy shows as they are for adults only.

Important Note: It is essential that you wear the proper apparel when visiting the Vatican and other religious sites (no bare legs or shoulders).

If your cruise includes one of these holidays, you are welcome to dress up for this fun event!

International Talk like a Pirate Day- Put the “Aaaaaaarrrrgggghhhhh” in Pirate as they celebrate ‘International Talk like a Pirate Day on September 19th. Enjoy the quirky pirate events and dress in your best Pirate garb!

‘Frightfully Fun’ Halloween- 'Frightfully Fun', the Halloween celebration is always a fun and a memorable time aboard a Carnival ship with a variety of fun-filled activities for all, including the always interesting costume contest for children and adults alike. Please note that they do not allow any toy or imitation weapons of any kind on board nor do they allow guests to wear masks.

Christmas- Carnival’s Christmas cruise is the ideal time for reconnecting with friends, families and loved ones. The ‘Ugly Sweater Contest’ is the perfect excuse to bring out that horrible garment you have had for too long and turn it into the sensation of the season!

    Accomodation
    Interior

An Interior stateroom is not only cosy and complete with Carnival stateroom amenities—it is the most affordable way to cruise. There are also Interior stateroom options with a view. Select an Interior with a porthole or picture window for a view of the ocean or a walkway view picture window for a view beyond your stateroom, out to the observation deck outside including a great sky view.

    Interior Upper/Lower

An Interior Upper/Lower stateroom creatively maximises space for a pair of cruisers. These staterooms feature all the same amenities as other Interior staterooms, with a different layout—including one twin bed, and either an upper Pullman or sofa bed. Select an Interior Upper/Lower with a porthole for an affordable view of the ocean.

    Balcony

Balcony staterooms were designed for maximum sea breeze and the most stunning views. Any time you’re in your room, you’re just steps away from your own personal outdoor oasis, featuring the sort of sea view you can also feel.

    Extended Balcony

Extended Balcony staterooms feature a larger balcony with more lounge-around room, and more kick back space. Or select an Aft-View Extended Balcony for some of the best stern-side views you’ll find anywhere.

    Premium Balcony

A Premium Balcony stateroom offers a spacious stateroom and oversized balcony. Here you will find amazing sea views and calming sea breezes, there’s no limit to the relaxation you can have.

    Premium Vista Balcony

Premium Vista Balcony staterooms were designed to wrap around the aft corners of the ship, giving you a unique vantage point from which to enjoy luxuriously panoramic views of the sky and the sea and take in even more sunshine.

    Ocean View

Catch a glimpse of what’s going by from your Ocean View stateroom where you’ll get views you won’t find anywhere on land. Don’t miss sunrise and sunset at sea— your comfy stateroom is the best way to experience these!

    Scenic Ocean View

Your Scenic Ocean View stateroom provides the best view of the sea that lies ahead of the ship, with views unlike any on land. And you’ll get more of them, too, with floor-to-ceiling windows providing plenty of looking-glass for gazing at the natural wonders of the sea.

    Junior Suite

As you step into a Junior Suite aboard, you can’t help but feel that you’re stepping into luxury. Featuring a standard-size balcony, you’ll find everything else there is to love about a suite, including Priority check-in and a private balcony for relaxing.

    Grand Suite

A Grand Suite features even more space than the standard suite. Add Priority check-in, a huge balcony, a whirlpool tub for relaxing and even a convenient dressing area with vanity and you can see just how extraordinarily comfy the entire experience can be.

    Ocean Suite

An Ocean Suite is the ultimate way to cruise. With more space for stretching out indoors, plus a large balcony for kicking back outdoors, try an Ocean Suite to experience private, luxurious relaxation. Ocean Suites also include Priority check-in, walk-in closet and bathroom with whirlpool.

    Captain's Suite

When you go for the largest, most luxurious room available, you get a room designed to suit your desire for comfort, inside and out. A Captain’s Suite offers a spacious living room with forward-facing, floor-to-ceiling windows, a huge balcony, a separate bedroom, a walk-in closet, and two full bathrooms. It’s a luxurious setting for up to five guests, and you don’t have to be captain to enjoy it!

    Entertainment

Here's your chance to dip a toe into onboard entertainment, activities, bars and more… so that when you cruise, you're ready to dive headfirst into the fun.

    DJ IRIE

Nobody can get the party started like a great DJ, right? That’s why Carnival have brought DJ IRIE into the mix (pun intended) to make the nightlife onboard a Carnival cruise hotter than ever. He’ll be heading up “DJ IRIE’s Spin’iversity,” a program designed to train budding DJs to keep their spinning skills sharp and their personalities party-ready. Oh, and as for music, graduates will be spinning expanded musical catalogues in clubs across the fleet for maximum guest body-rocking.

    The Punchliner Comedy Club

There's chuckle-funny, then there's laughing-so-hard-you-can-barely-breathe funny. To take the Punchliner Comedy Club talent way over the top, they've teamed up with renowned comedian and TV personality George Lopez. George is their 'curator of comedy,' the 'finder of funny,' the… 'locator of laugh-out-loud' (sorry, lets leave the jokes to him), helping select talent for the fleetwide Punchliner Comedy Clubs.

    Sports Bar

Just because you’re on vacation doesn't mean you should miss the action back home! Whether you’re here to root, root, root for your home team or you just want to check in on the scores, you’ll love the energy-filled atmosphere of the sports bar. Order your go-to drink and just kick back as you watch your favourite sports come to life on the big flat-screen TVs.

    Piano Bar

Play it again, Sam. Or Diana. Or whatever your name is. Because this is the bar where you call the shots – and the songs. Pull up a seat, order your favorite cocktail, and let your friendly piano player know the songs you'd like to hear. Then join the sing-along for a hand-clapping, foot-tapping, finger-snapping good time. Don't feel like flexing your vocal cords? No worries. Shy songbirds are welcome here, too. And since it's open from early evening to late at night, it's the perfect spot for a before-dinner drink or singing 'til the wee hours of the evening.

    Wine Bar

From the wine novice to the wine enthusiast, you’ll find the perfect vintage of red, white, rosé or blends at the wine bar. Order by the glass, or buy the bottle and unwind in this friendly setting. While vino is the specialty here, it’s also a full bar serving up a wonderful array of spirits, mixers, and delicious cocktails.

    Casino Bar

Winning big in the casino is big fun, and your next stop is celebrating with a top-shelf drink. Located right off the casino floor, the casino bar serves up your favourite cocktails, beer and wine, making this the perfect spot to celebrate with family, friends… and maybe even total strangers.

    Casino

Try to keep your excitement under control — at least for the time being — because you're gonna need a steady hand and a little luck to win at the casino prize games. There are cash prizes and awesome electronics at stake, so when you win, you win big. At that point, feel free to go a little crazy, jump up and down if that's your thing… because you and your steady hand are winners!

Or why not try your hand at Roulette, Blackjack, Slot Machines, Poker or some of the Casino Tournaments!

    Library

With wall-to-wall activities, most people wouldn’t think of their cruise vacation as a great time to read a book, but you’ll find the bibliophilic faithful stretched out on deck chairs, enjoying the sun, sea breeze… and a page-turner. Forgot to bring a book? E-reader battery just died? Every Carnival ship features an onboard library stocked with the good stuff. For the silent types, it’s a great place to read, but if the roar of the ocean is more your soundtrack, the library is a great place to find a good read to devour, al fresco.

    Bingo

Bingo buzz fills the air. You’ve got three cards in front of you, and you’re ready to play. What will tonight’s big game be? Postage stamp? Big X? Big T? Get ready to play some crazy-exciting, hoot-and-holler-if-you-win-big bingo. Cash prizes start at $100, and a jackpot game might add another zero to the pot. Other prizes include tour passes, gifts from onboard shops, spa services and more. So grab some bingo cards. That next B-6 could be the lucky call that lands you a whopping $2,000 jackpot or even a free cruise.

    Internet Café

Internet cafés harken back to kinder, simpler times — bygone days when the Internet was a place you would visit and stay a while, before returning to your “real life.” These days, with the whole Internet always right there in our pockets, we’ve forgotten the simple pleasures of surfing in moderation. A Carnival cruise is the perfect place to return to a (mostly) disconnected lifestyle — visit our onboard Internet café to check in with the outside world now and then. Perhaps do it over a cup of coffee, maybe send a photo home… but definitely don’t spend your vacation answering boring work emails. They’ll be there when you get home.

    Art Gallery & Art Seminars

Even if you don’t “know” much about art, of course you can still tell when you like something — who needs a refined palette to know when a piece is good? Carnival leaves snobbish cultural pretensions ashore, and makes art something that everyone can enjoy with a series of events designed to bring great art where it belongs — to the people. Take part in an art-themed battle of the sexes or check out showcases highlighting the best of, say, European artists or world-famous pop artist Peter Max. You can’t get any closer to great art… without buying it.

    Onboard Games

Kids never need an excuse to play, did you know that cognitive scientists — fully-grown adults without bedtimes — believe that play is essential to childhood development? At Carnival, we believe play is important to ALL ages, so onboard games are a huge part of the Carnival experience for all, young and old! From physical challenges to scavenger hunts to the very appropriate Battle of the Ages — the trivia game that actually pits kids against adults — Carnival puts the “all” in “fun for all.” (Not to mention the “fun.”)

    Trivia

The word trivia comes from “trivial,” which basically means ‘stuff that’s not important to know.’ Wait… unimportant?! Not if you’re planning on walking away with an unlimited supply of bragging rights… good for the rest of your cruise, not to mention when you get home. Don’t just show what you know — flaunt it. Here, being a “know-it-all” pays off.

    Video Arcade

If you love to play video games, you’re in luck. The video arcade boasts a huge array of games, and is open to players of all ages, all night and all day. So get some tokens from the vending machine and let the fun times begin. Challenge your friends to a game, or just see if you can beat the top score. After all, with the video arcade open 24 hours and an entire cruise ahead of you, you have plenty of time to try.

    The Fun Shops

"Shop 'til you drop," right? Wrong — you still have a lot of vacation fun ahead of you! Get your shopping done without dropping at the convenient — and hey, fun — Fun Shops, located aboard your next Carnival cruise. They've got some of the greatest deals you'll find anywhere on jewellery, watches, beauty products and liquor... plus unique Carnival products you definitely won't find anywhere else.

    Ivanhoe Theatre & Stage Shows

Their stage shows are designed to razzle and dazzle. Featuring talented singers, musicians and dancers performing crowd-thrilling numbers in extravagant costumes with awesome sets and scenery, it's like catching one of the best shows on land. All performances are created to ensure that every night feels like opening night. And best of all, since shows are included in your fare, it's like having top-dollar tickets to the hottest show in town, absolutely free.

    Karaoke

Grab the mic and channel your inner rock king, pop princess or disco queen, when you join in the karaoke fun aboard a Carnival cruise. Choose from traditional karaoke or the Superstar Live Karaoke, where you don’t just pick the song you want to sing — you perform it backed by a live band playing guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and, yes, even your own back-up singers! Whichever karaoke experience you choose, choose from hundreds of titles that span a wide variety of genres, from Motown, country and rock classics to today's pop hits.

    Seaside Theatre

Night time isn't the only time to see stars on your cruise. Day or night, find a spot on deck and check out the huge poolside screen — it's Carnival's Seaside Theatre! Hit movies, live sporting events, concerts and even cartoons for the kids are just some of what you'll find featured at this large-scale outdoor entertainment zone. Grab a copy of the Fun Times and check the day's listings... then grab a friend or three and get ready to kick back and enjoy.

    Dive-In Movies

Ready to see stars? Park yourself in front of the big screen — the really big screen — and settle in for a night at the cinema… under some real stars. From the comfort of your poolside lounge chair, or even the pool itself, you'll enjoy the most recent blockbuster movies from categories like Comedy, Action & Adventure and Date Night. And don't think that being in the middle of the sea means going without the usual comforts. There's not only popcorn — who could forget that? — but blankets! So lounge around, snuggle up and try to remember the last time you truly enjoyed a night at the movies.

    Dance Club

Get up and get down at the most happenin' club in the Caribbean. The DJs are spinning today's hottest hits and yesterday's golden oldies, guaranteed to get you out of your seat and tapping your feet. (Hey, that rhymed!) Whether you're doing the robot or the worm or just swaying to the music, you'll want to dance 'til the sun rises. Or at least 'til last call. Oh yeah... their themed parties are pretty fun too!

    Jazz Club

The Jazz Club located on Deck 5 with a capacity of 425, offers a venue to have a drink and listen to Jazz music or a rock band.

    Cigar Lounge

Winston's Cigar Bar features live classical and jazz music and a bar.

    Eagles Aft Lounge

The Eagle's Aft Lounge is the ship's second largest lounge bar and features a stage, dance floor and bar. It plays hosts to comedy acts, karaoke, live music and art auctions amongst other activities.

    American Lobby

First impressions are important — everyone knows that- that’s why it’s so important to that the atrium, your first taste of your Carnival cruise, tastes like ‘wow.’ From the moment you step aboard, the atrium — the heart of the ship — simply screams “welcome aboard!” It screams it with hustle, with bustle, with music and with high ceilings featuring panoramic views of the whole scene from the upper decks.
