Please note: Baby food is available via our Gifts and Gear page via our Babies To Go program and infant formula is not provided on board. Guests may not bring on board any food items other than baby food and/or dry, nonperishable snack items (cookies, crackers, chips, energy bars, etc).
Q | What assistance does Royal Caribbean provide guests with disabilities getting on and off the ship?
A | We have personnel with wheelchairs who provide assistance with pushing wheelchairs on and off the ship using gangways and boarding bridges. Please note our personnel are not permitted to lift guests. During peak times there may be a wait for assistance. Please see Getting On and Off the Ship for additional information. If you need further assistance, please contact our Access Department at [email protected] or 866-592-7225.
Q | Does Royal Caribbean have wheelchair accessible staterooms on your ships?
A | All of our ships have staterooms designed to accommodate guests with mobility disabilities and other disabilities that require the features of an accessible stateroom. If you need additional information, please contact our Accessibility Department at 866-592-7225.
Q | Do I need to provide proof of a disability to reserve an accessible room with Royal Caribbean?
A | We do not require proof of disability such as medical certificates or disability placards. However, we do require you to acknowledge your need for the accessible stateroom by completing a Guest Special Needs Form.
Q | Is Perfect Day at CocoCay accessible? What are the services for guests with disabilities?
A | Perfect Day at CocoCay is an accessible island. There are complimentary beach access wheelchairs available throughout the island on a first come first served basis. Once on the island, ask a crew member for assistance to locate an available wheelchair.
Accessible trams are available on regular rotation throughout the island.
Coco Beach Club is accessible and includes complimentary beach wheelchairs, pool lift, lower counter at the bar, and ramps to the dining area. Oasis Lagoon freshwater pool and the infinity pool at Coco Beach Club have pool lifts and the Wave Pool in Thrill Waterpark is also wheelchair accessible.
Note that the towers to the waterpark’s slides and the tower to the Zip Line have stairs.
We are continuously evaluating and implementing features for our guests with disabilities across the island.
Q | Do I need to provide Royal Caribbean with advance notice that I have a disability?
A | We do not require you to give details about your disability. However, the more information you can share with us about your needs, the better we will be able to assist you. We do require advance notice for certain services; please see our Planning Ahead section for more details.
Q | Are guests with disabilities required to have a companion to sail onboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship?
A | We do not require that a guest with a disability travel with another person as a condition for traveling on our ships. However, our personnel are not required to perform personal tasks (e.g. assisting with eating, dressing, toileting or lifting and therefore, guest requiring assistance with these functions should consider these needs when making a booking.)
Please see our full policy regarding Fitness to Travel Safely in our Guest Conduct Policy.
Q | Who can I contact with disability related concerns at the pier or Royal Caribbean ship?
A | You can contact a Complaint Resolution Official (CRO) at all U.S. ports of departure and all ships address your disability related concerns. They have been trained and are aware of applicable U.S. Department of Transportation disability rules as well as our policies and procedures regarding guests with disabilities. They will be glad to assist you.
Q | Does Royal Caribbean provide wheelchairs or scooters on or off the ship?
A | We provide complimentary wheelchairs for getting on and off the ship. If you would like to have a wheelchair or scooter during the cruise, you are welcome to bring your own or rent one from a company that provides wheelchairs and scooter rentals for cruises:
Scootaround
Phone: 888-441-7575Special Needs at Sea
Phone: 800-513-4515Q | Does Royal Caribbean provide Braille formatted material onboard the ship?
A | No, however we provide Qualified Readers onboard our ships for guests who are blind or have low vision. Select crewmembers have been trained as qualified readers to read written material such as the daily Cruise Compass and shore excursions information. Waiters will also read dining menus upon request. To request qualified readers for your cruise, please contact Guest Relations upon boarding.
Q | Are service animals allowed onboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship? What about emotional support animals?
A | Service Animals - Yes, we accept service animals on all our ships. Please see our Service Animal section for more details about our service animal policies.
Guests traveling with a service animal should contact Accessible Shore Excursions to review guidelines and arrange special accommodations on tours.
Emotional Support Animals - We’ve changed our policy on emotional support animals onboard our ships. Our policy now differentiates emotional support animals from service animals that are trained to perform a function for a person with a disability. Service animals will continue to be welcomed onboard for guests with disabilities. We will no longer have emotional support animals onboard.
Q | Are shore excursions wheelchair accessible?
A | Due to the historical nature of the sites and venues at some ports of call as well as the uneven terrain, inclines, steps to navigate and narrow sidewalks not all tours offer access to wheelchair/ scooters. Accessible tours are tours designed for full time wheelchair users or guests unable to negotiate motor-coach steps. They are available in certain ports based on the transportation we have been able to secure.
To better assist you please complete the Accessible Shore Excursions Form. Once the information is received we will be able to provide you with the applicable list of tour available for your sailing.
Guests who have a reservation with payment may also contact 1-800-398-9819 for Pre-Cruise Planning Assistance.
When you’re onboard, the right look will vary by venue. But here are a few types of suggested attire you’ll see, grouped by item.
Formal nights:
Please note that bare feet are not allowed at any time in any venue and tank tops are not permitted in the Main Dining Room or Specialty Dining venues for dinner.
Effective immediately on all sailings, the minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages on all Royal Caribbean International is as follows.
The Company retains the right, on rare occasions, to raise the minimum age of alcohol consumption on any sailing when local laws require or permit such a modification.
Guests are not allowed to bring beer or hard liquor onboard for consumption or any other use.
Alcoholic beverages seized on embarkation day will not be returned. Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol. Guests who violate any alcohol policies, (over consume, provide alcohol to people under the legal drinking age, demonstrate irresponsible behaviour, or attempt to conceal alcoholic items at security and or luggage check points or any other time), may be disembarked or not allowed to board, at their own expense, in accordance with our Guest Conduct Policy. Guests who are under the permitted drinking age will not have alcohol returned to them. Please Note: All guests must comply with TSA guidelines for transporting liquids.
On boarding day, guests may bring onboard two (2) 750 ml bottles of personal wine or champagne per stateroom in their carry-on luggage. If more than two bottles of wine or champagne are brought onboard, including any alcoholic beverages purchased in ports-of-call or in our onboard shops, they will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on your last day onboard.
Guests on consecutive cruises may bring two (2) 750 ml bottles of personal wine or champagne per voyage, per stateroom. Additional bottles will be stored by the ship and two bottles at a time will be delivered to the stateroom on the first day of each new voyage. Guests bringing more than two bottles at the start of the first sailing should have documentation for any consecutive sailings available to share with security on boarding day.
For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, our ships are designated as non-smoking; however, we recognise that some of our guests do smoke. Therefore, to provide an onboard environment that also satisfies smokers, we have designated certain areas of the ship as smoking areas.
Cigarette, cigar, e-cigarette and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas. To assist in locating areas where smoking is permitted, guests will find visible signage posted within all smoking areas and ashtrays that are provided for use. Outdoor areas near restricted areas, food venues, and kids play areas and pools will not allow smoking. On Oasis class, smoking is not permitted in Central Park or the Boardwalk neighbourhoods.
Casino Royale allows smoking and has a designated area for non-smoking guests. There will be visible signage indicating the non-smoking area in the casino. All cruises departing from China and Hong Kong will not have a non-smoking area in the casino. Smoking is not permitted in the casino for any ships departing from Australia and the United Kingdom.
Onboard all interior public spaces are smoke free*. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, theatre, bar, lounge, hallway, elevator, and jogging track.
Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom and any stateroom balcony. This applies to all stateroom categories onboard. If a guest is in violation of this stateroom policy, a cleaning fee of $250 USD will be applied to their SeaPass® account and may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of the Guest Conduct Policy.
Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. Cigar and pipe tobacco is limited to designated outdoor areas and Cigar Bars**. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard.
Electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes are only permitted within the designated smoking areas.
Royal Caribbean International kindly asks all guests to please observe the smoking policy. These requests are made to provide a comfortable cruise for everyone. Guest may also inquire at Guest Services for the location of the designated smoking areas onboard.
Guests who violate this smoking policy may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of this Guest Conduct Policy.
Royal Caribbean updated the smoking policy September 2013 and the above policy is in enforcement on all ships with cruises departing on or after January 1, 2014.

VACATIONS THRILLS INCLUDED IN YOUR CRUISE
A cruise vacation is a great opportunity to go outside your comfort zone and try something new with thrilling activities like Category 6. Located in the Thrill Island neighborhood of the ship, Category 6 is a sprawling water park that encompasses six ground-breaking waterslides, including the tallest waterslide on the seas, the first open free-fall waterslide on a cruise, the first family raft slide on a ship and exhilarating mat racers, just to name a few. The best part? Guests can ride any and all of the slides as many times as they like for free.
If you're like me, then it wouldn't be a vacation without getting your adrenaline pumping. The FlowRider is a returning favorite to Icon of the Seas℠. This huge surf simulator funnels 30,000 gallons of rushing water to create the perfect swells all day, every day. It's one of the top free things to do on any ship that has one onboard, including the first Icon Class cruise ship. You can choose to tame the waves — and try to keep your balance — upright on your feet or hit the water boogie-style on your belly. Rides are complimentary for cruise guests, though you can also reserve lessons with an instructor for a fee.
The Rock Climbing Wall is one of my favorite cruise activities. It's known for yielding some of the best views at sea, too. Located on Deck 16 in the Thrill Island neighborhood, Icon of the Seas takes rock climbing to the next level with Adrenaline Peak. It's the ultimate rock climbing experience: a thrilling, pulse-pumping scramble to a vantage point that will wow you. It even has racing for speed climbers. Adrenaline Peak is totally free for cruise guests; anyone ages six years or older is welcome to harness up and head to the top as many times as they like.
Discovering what is included on a Royal Caribbean cruise with Icon of the Seas℠ brings fun family-friendly activities to the next level. For example, the Lost Dunes for example is one of the best mini-golf courses at sea and it's included in your cruise fare. Tee up with your friends or family and putt putt your way across this nine-hole course complete with shipwrecks and fallen palms as obstacles — you'll find it's par none, and it's completely free. Challenge your family to a friendly contest: Whoever shoots a hole-in-one gets treated to ice cream.
There's no better place than the Sports Court to keep your family's competitive side going. Onboard Icon of the Seas℠, this large play space offers a variety of different team activities, including basketball, volleyball, pickleball and dodgeball. You don't need to make a reservation or pay a fee to enjoy the Sports Court at any point during your cruise — just keep in mind that equipment is subject to availability and is first come, first served.
If you're cruising with your children, there's no shortage of activities and attractions to excite little ones onboard Icon of the Seas℠. Like Playscape, a place for kids to slide, climb and play. There's also the cruise ship's beach-themed carousel, which doubles as a great photo opp. Both attractions are included in your cruise fare.
On a beautiful sunny day, head to Splashaway Bay, an aqua park for pint-sized cruisers. It's designed exclusively with tots to tweens in mind and offers plenty of cool interactive water features and mini waterslides just for little ones. Think water cannons, fountains, splash pools and more. There's also Baby Bay for your littlest adventure seekers. And of course, admission is included in your cruise fare.
SEVEN POOLS, ENDLESS WAYS TO CATCH YOUR RAYS
That’s right — seven. Each pool has its own unique vibe, and every one is free for cruise guests (though one is exclusively for Suite Guests…more on that later). So let’s take a tour of all the picture-perfect places to plunge. First stop is the Hideaway Pool — the only suspended infinity pool at sea, you can soak up ocean views surrounded by a multilevel sun terrace with its own resident DJ, whirlpools, a variety of seating and a dedicated bar. Then there's Royal Bay, the largest pool at sea with over 40,000 gallons of water, plenty of in-water loungers and raised whirlpools that offer beautiful ocean views. If you love a swim-up bar — and who doesn’t? — grab a seat at Swim & Tonic, the first swim-up bar in the Royal Caribbean® fleet. Water's Edge Pool has everything families need to make a splash with the little ones right in the heart of Surfside. And on the flip side, Cloud 17 is a chill adults-only pool you can pair with a poolside drink from The Lime and Coconut. Finally, the Cove Pool is located portside and directly facing the wide-open sea, offering stunning views and a laid-back vibe perfect for a day spent reading or listening to your favorite podcast.
WHAT IS INCLUDED ON A CRUISE FOR SUITES GUESTS?
What is included on a cruise for suites guests? If you're staying in a Sky or Star suite, you can also access the Suite Neighborhood for additional perks and activities included with your cruise suite. Or, head to Grove Suite Sun Deck, a casual outdoor venue with its own exclusive pool just for suite guests.
WONDERING WHICH RESTAURANTS ARE FREE ON ICON OF THE SEAS?
Wondering which restaurants are free on Icon of the Seas? There are several dining options where every bite is complimentary. This includes the casual, family-friendly Surfside Eatery buffet and Surfside Bites, your go-to for sweet and salty snacks. If you're staying in a suite, there's Coastal Kitchen and the Grove. More Icon of the Seas complimentary restaurants will be announced in the near future, so stay tuned.

Step into Absolute Zero, our biggest ice arena ever, to watch all-star performers unleash maximum axels and supersize spins, all while an immersive, digitally mapped backdrop transforms this arctic arena to showcase story lines beyond any you've imagined.
Roaring thunder means the Frightening Bolt℠ is close. Your heart begins to race. But once your stomach lurches, it's too late. The floor latch opens, and you plunge down the tallest waterslide at sea.
A dare defying decent.
Climb to the top and peek over the edge. You're now face to face with an epic near-vertical slide. But the chase of the thrill is stronger than you fear. Take a deep breath and let gravitiy take over on the Pressure Drop℠, the first open free-fall slide at sea.
When the forecast calls for the next-level thrills, gather your whole crew - and your courage - for Hurricane Hunter℠, the first family raft slide at sea. Hold on tight and keep an eye out. Between all the shrieks and laughter, there's a massive drop when you least expect it.
Strap in and step onto the walkway for a fear-inducing challenge that's part skywalk, part obstacle course, part thrill ride and an all-out test of courage. But hurry - when you least expect it, the floor beneath your feet could disappear, leaving you dangling high over the ocean.
Go with the flow of 30,000 gallons of rushing awesome on the FlowRider surf simulator. This fleet favourite is the prime spot to show off your wave taming skills or challenge your bestie to a round of boogie boarding.
It's your day your way. And no matter what you choose to do, it will be a splash. From next-level views and beach club beats high in the sky at the first suspended pool at sea, The Hideaway, to a dedicated pool scene shaking things up at the largest swim-up bar at sea, Swim & Tonic℠ - good vibes are always just a few steps away.
Escape to new heights of bragworthy at the beach club-inspired Hideaway, conjure Mykonos moods and Mallorca mindsets. And at the center of it all is the first suspended infinity pool at sea. This signature pool is the first of its kind and like nothing you've ever seen - or swam - before.
A sprawling oasis awaits you at Royal Bay in Chill Island℠. With over 40,000 gallons of water, it's the largest pool at sea - complete with in-water loungers and raised whirlpools offering elevated views and plenty of space to soak up the sun or make a splash.
Tucked away on the top deck, Cloud 17℠ is an adults-only poolside oasis high above ordinary. Unwind in a new stratosphere of chic with a secluded pool, cantilevered whirlpool and private access to The Lime and Coconut bar - all while overlooking the ocean.
Discover Suite Neighbourhood, a retreat exclusively for suite guests. Soak up rays on the two-story sun deck or take a dip in the private pool and hot tub. Savor upscale cuisine at Coastal Kitchen or al fresco Mediterranean bliss at The Grove.
This is not your average piano bar. This is a battle of the baby grands. Located in the lively Royal Promenade, Dueling Pianos℠ is a first-of-its-kind bar in the fleet, bringing a new scale of sing-alongs with nightly high-energy piano performances. Two talented pianists take your song requests and go key-to-key, tickling the ivories — and your funny bone. With a full catalog of toe-tapping tunes, belly-busting banter and musical mixology, this interactive show hits all the right notes.
Welcome to Lou’s Jazz 'n Blues℠, an instrument addition to Central Park®. From soulful classics to jazz pop performances, sounds from the house band drift through the lush landscape of this open-air neighborhood. Swing by for cocktails that play ode to legendary favourites - and stay for live music from the Big Easy to the Big Apple. Whether you’re enjoying ragtime riffs from your table-for-two indoors or setting the mood on an evening stroll during Jazz in the Park, you won’t be able to resist jiving along.
From classic cups of joe to coffee-infused cocktails that’ll perk up your nights - this is anything but bean there, done that. Start your days and end your evenings at Rye & Bean℠, a transformative coffee shop that’s the perfect blend of cozy morning hangout and buzzing late-night bar. Whether your go-to is a flat white or an expertly made espresso martini, you’ll find yourself shipping on freshly brewed views at the AquaDome℠ from dawn until the very last drop.
Take your night out to new heights - and new sights - at The Overlook℠ lounge. With two levels of floor-to-ceiling wraparound windows, the ocean views from inside the awe-inspiring AquaDome℠ are unmatched.
Make your way to the glowing garden of Overlook Pods for your most elevated hangout ever. Challenge your friends to a classic board game, lounge around to the live music or cozy up with a cocktail before catching a show at the AquaTheatre show. Perfectly perched for prime panoramas, these next-level nooks are the first of their kind at sea - taking laidback to another level.
At Music Hall, no night sounds the same as the last. Get a front row view from anywhere on the dance floor while the industry’s best cover bands rock like the real thing. Or, take in the scene from the bar, pool tables and intimate lounge tables with your favourite cocktails. This premier place for live music lovers deserves a spot on your after-dark set list.
From hilarious to ridiculous, we’ve got the jokes. Modeled after Manhattan’s dark and intimate comedy clubs, the adults-only live show brings guest comedians whose only job is to make you laugh —seriously.
Stroll arm-in-arm along the winding pathways of Central Park® for a date night that goes all-in on al fresco. Nestled among thousands of tropical plants and living walls that soar high above, you’ll find the tucked away Trellis Bar. This enchanting escape offers an all-new menu of elegant pre-dinner appetizers for an outing that’s anything but ordinary. Paired with handcrafted cocktails, each delectable dish is plated to perfection - and best enjoyed under the stars.
Designed with vintage vibes to leave you with a first impression that lasts, 1400℠ Lobby Bar is your new meetup spot onboard. This bar is the closest you’ll get to the waves - and the first time the Royal Promenade has ever opened up to the outdoors. Kick back and soak up the energy of the bustling indoor boulevard or enjoy your drinks with a side of sea breeze on the ocean-facing terrace. And indulge in upscale cocktails inspired by the history of shipbuilding and developed with world-renowned mixologist, Tony Abou-Ganim.
Make your vacation pop at Bubbles℠, a new walk-up champagne bar in the heart of Central Park®. Order by the bottle or the glass — it’s always the perfect time for a chilled flute of brut. Start your morning with a mimosa or a bright-and-early Bellini. And celebrate moments big and small with a trickling champagne tower that sparkles. All while being serenaded by the soulful sounds of Jazz in the Park.
Choose your tune and grab the mic - it’s your time to shine at Spotlight℠ Karaoke. With thousands of popular song choices and all eyes on you, this just might be your big break. Do a soundcheck from the Royal Promenade at the bar that’s serving up lyrical courage. Step into the limelight or support your fellow superstars - future headliners can even rent a private room for an intimate show with your closest fans. Just be sure to rest up your vocal cords for an evening that deserves an encore.
Take your night out across the pond at Point & Feather℠, an English pub that’s pouring up perfect pints and stirring up an all-new menu of spirited sips. Challenge your crew to a game of darts to decide who gets the next round. Or take aim in a thrilling tournament where bragging rights are on the bullseye. Grab a seat wherever you like - with a guitarist’s stage that’s front and center, you’ll hear your song request all the way from the bar to the Royal Promenade.
Now you don't have to choose between watching the big game and playing your favorite games at Casino Royale℠. Keep your eyes on the prize — more screens means more sports, everywhere you look. Try your hand at nearly 30 table games, choose from over 370 hot slot machines and play bar-top video poker between sizzling sessions. Plus, a high-limit area ups the ante on action-packed. And you can always wager on a win with the best cover bands in the biz at the nearby Music Hall.
With a menu of game-day favorites and icy-cold draughts on top, anything you order at Playmakers℠ Sports Bar & Arcade is a winner. And while you’re working on a signature Playmakers Burger or the five-scoop Touchdown Sundae, you can catch your home team live on dozens of screens or face off against your friends in the arcade.
