Don’t miss out on these unique Amsterdam experiences
31 Oct 2017
Amsterdam – 20 million people visit the city each year, and most head to the usual tourist hotspots of the Heineken Museum, the Anne Frank house, and (ahem) the Red Light District or a “coffee shop”, but there is plenty of unique and wonderful experiences to be had in this vibrant city.
A’DAM Lookout Tower
For the ultimate thrill in Amsterdam, head to the top of the A’DAM Lookout tower, where there’s an unexpected surprise at the top. Take the free ferry across the water from Central Station to the north river bank and enjoy the view from the observation deck. Feeling brave? Swing 100 metres over the edge on Europe’s highest swing!
GlowGolf
For a quirky afternoon, head to GlowGolf, just a short walk away from the cruise terminal. Perfect for a fun family day out, play a round of mini golf in the dark wearing 3D glasses, and watch the room come to life with neon colours.
Beurspassage
The Beurspassage is an ornate passageway connecting two of Amsterdam’s main shopping streets. There’s certainly not another passageway in the world more beautiful. Chandeliers, tiled flooring, and artistic mosaic ceilings depicting how all life originated from the water.
