Royal Caribbean unveils exciting details about Symphony of the Seas
12 Oct 2017
Symphony of the Seas will be the largest ship in the world when she launches in spring 2018, and by the looks of it, the most fun too!
Royal Caribbean is to introduce new family suites. The Ultimate Family Suite will be a two-storey space, with a private slide, chill-out space, 3D cinema, and games tables.
As part of the announcement, Royal Caribbean also unveiled new dining options. El Loco Fresh will be a new venue for guests to satisfy their cravings for freshly-made Mexican favourites, like burritos, tacos, and salsa. Hooked Seafood will offer fresh seafood, and raw bar favourites, in a laidback atmosphere.
Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade is a venue dedicated to sporting events, and table top games, and fun arcade machines. For those with a sweet tooth, the Sugar Beach Candy & Ice Cream store is the one stop shop for homemade ice cream and confectionery.
Hairspray will return to the seas, after first launching on Oasis of the Seas in 2009. One of the best-loved musicals will once again be entertaining cruise guests, this time on the latest and greatest cruise ship, Symphony of the Seas. An original Royal Caribbean production called Flight, will take to the stage in 2018, starting in the distant future with a flight to Mars, and travelling right back to the Wright Brothers’ monumental first flight. The latest AquaTheatre spectacular, called Hiro, will be loaded with action-packed stunts, high-flying feats, and amazing acrobatics. Following on from the ice show ‘1887: A Journey In Time’, which debuted on Harmony of the Seas, ‘1977: Adventure Through Time’ will focus on a time-travelling hero trying to recover Her Majesty’s Crown Jewels from a mysterious thief. Also in Studio B will be a laser tag course, where it’s Robots V Aliens.
Symphony of the Seas launches in April 2018, and will offer cruises in the Mediterranean from Barcelona and Civitavecchia. In October, the ship will then sail to Miami to make the Caribbean her home.
