All aboard the Cartoon Network fun ship!
26 Jan 2018
Cartoon Network has announced a revolutionary new cruise ship which will set sail in late 2018. The ship, which official renderings appear to show P&O Cruises Australia’s Pacific Jewel will be named Cartoon Network Wave and offer sailings from Singapore.
The exterior of the ship will be made to look like Jake the Dog from Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time series, and will also feature popular CN characters, such as The Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, and We Bare Bears.
“Cartoon Network Wave will revolutionise cruise travel in the Asia- Pacific region and create and curate new cruise experiences for holiday makers, cruise goers and generations of pop culture fans,” said Daniel Chui, Oceanic Group’s chief executive, the maritime company behind the partnership.
Accommodating 2,000 Toon-loving guests, Cartoon Network Wave will feature 11 decks of family fun, 800 fully-themed cabins and suites, including two never before seen triplex suites, with a spiral slide that extends over the side of the ship, and a dedicated play floor.
While on board, guests can expect plenty of fun, relaxation, partying and excitement with a variety of leisure and entertainment venues, a Toonix pool and a rope adventure park. The ship will also offer several restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars, including Bravo’s Place – an alfresco burger bar.
Dates and itineraries will be announced in the coming months, and prices are expected to start at £105 per night.
