MSC Meraviglia Launch: Sneak Peek At The Main Features
02 Aug 2016
MSC Meraviglia launch is one of the most expected events of 2017. MSC Meraviglia (the name means ‘wonder’ in Italian) will soon become the largest cruise ship afloat (in terms of passenger capacity) when it launches the 3rd June 2017, it will hold 5,700 passengers! The ship will be the biggest ship ever built by a European-based cruise line and is currently being built in the same shipyard as Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class ships.
It will feature state-of-the-art wristband technology which will allow guests to make payments, book spa treatments and specialty restaurants as well as allowing parents to geo-locate their children. There are also whispers about an identical sister ship scheduled for delivery by 2019. Both of the ships will be designed for efficiency, with scrubber technology to neutralise carbon dioxide emissions.
