Kerry's River Cruise Adventure

I was lucky enough to be invited onboard Fred. Olsen’s river ship, Brabant, for a section of a cruise that visiting the Middle and Upper Rhine & Lochs disembarking in Switzerland. We took a beautiful drive to the town of Koblenz, which I had visited as a child on a school trip recently...by recently I mean 20 years ago!

The flagship of the Fred. Olsen fleet, Balmoral is also the largest. Despite this, she is still relatively small in modern standards, carrying just over 1,200 passengers. Balmoral has four restaurants. The main dining room is the Ballindalloch restaurant on Deck 6 and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Cabin on board ship was lovely. Plenty of space, beds very comfortable and lots of hot water for relaxing baths and showers. bars and restaurants excellent for both comfort, food and drink. All staff on board extremely friendly and helpful. Overall a wonderful experience. Would definitely sail on the Boudicca again. Looking forward to my trip next year on the Balmoral to Iceland.
