Freefall (Norwegian Cruise Line)

3…2…1…whoosh! The floor instantly disappears from under your feet as you rocket down the steep drop, go over the side of the ship, and then slide upwards, before reaching the splash area. This extreme water slide is available on Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway.

AquaDuck (Disney Cruise Line)

This water slide is more like a fun lazy river than a water slide. Offering unbeatable views, you’ll glide around the pool deck in the glass tubes on a large inflatable, pass through the funnel, and even slide upwards! The AquaDuck is available on Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream.

Vertigo (MSC Cruises)

One of the longest slides at sea, the Vertigo water slide on MSC Preziosa travels over the DoReMi kids water park, and briefly over the side of the ship as part of a see-through section, before some tight turns at high speed and finally splashing to an end.

Tidal Wave (Royal Caribbean International)

This fun and colourful slide will leave you feeling dizzy after you spiral down the twists and turns in an inflatable ring. The Kaleid-o-Slide can be found onboard Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Vista, and the soon-to-launch Carnival Horizon.

Ultimate Abyss (Royal Caribbean International)

Technically this isn’t a water slide, but its still one of the coolest slides at sea so we couldn’t not mention it! The Ultimate Abyss is a dry slide, where you sit on mats, and can be found aboard Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas. It’s the quickest way from Deck 16 to Deck 6 as you whizz down in 13 seconds.
